Series: Decadence After Dark #2
Author: M Never

With one look he consumed me.
With one touch he marked me.
With one kiss he owned me.
With one whisper he claimed me.

"No matter where you go or who you're with, you'll always be mine."

Ellie Stevens thought she had moved on from the domineering man who abducted her. Now living in Hawaii and following her dreams, no one is going to keep her down. But things aren't always as they seem.

Kayne Rivers reluctantly let Ellie go, but just because she's gone now, doesn't mean she'll be gone forever. She is his, and he won't stop until he's reclaimed her as his own.

Claimed is a dark erotic romance. Please pay close attention to the use of the words dark, erotic, and romance. It has intense sexual situations, a Master/slave relationship, mild abuse, unconsensual sex, and some violence. Reader discretion is advised.

I have been waiting rather impatiently for M. Never to complete Claimed. Owned was f@cking brilliant and I really wanted to know what would happen with Ellie and Kayne. Well, damn…my answers came in Claimed.

It picks up approximately one year after Ellie is “released” from her capture. She’s been through hell and back trying to make sense of all that happened. She’s relocated to Hawaii to go to college and make a fresh start. But she’s still having problems coming to terms with the love/hate she still feels for Kayne.

For the past year, Kayne has been dying inside. He’s absolutely, totally, completely in love with Ellie. He’s been giving her space and time. But time is up!

With an invitation to join him in Bora Bora, Kayne is giving Ellie the opportunity to know the real man that he is and to see if he can convince her that his love is real. But will she truly give Kayne and a relationship with Kayne a chance?

I LOVED this book. Seeing Kayne reveal his vulnerability and true feelings for Ellie was amazing and I had many “aw, damn, Kayne, I’d fall in love with you” moments. Ellie and her resilience were fascinating. M Never’s writing of Ellie’s anger and distrust of both her internal feeling and her feelings toward Kayne was mesmerizing. Plus, add in the sass and sarcasm of Jett and this book was bloody brilliant!

Holy son of a monkey’s uncle, I did NOT see that coming! It slapped me in the face, and just, wow.

For full understanding in this book, you need to read Owned as this is not a standalone and starts after the first one ends.

Ellie and Kayne’s story continues. And when I got this on my Kindle for review, I actually stood up and did a happy dance! This book is very different that the first one, but no less intense. There is still hot sex, collars and spankings, so don’t be sad when they end up being a bit different.

Both Ellie and Kayne struggle to mix who they are with who they were at The Mansion, and at times I wanted to climb into the story and smack them upside the head. They are both passionate about what they want, but have a hard time communicating just what it is they want.

Can they go back to having a great sex life with some play or will everything be vanilla? What happens when revenge knocks of the door? Can the two of them move past all the deception be just be happy? So many questions! And you will have to read the book to find the answers!

The one thing I did not like about this book was when Kayne gets angry, he gets mean. To me, words can hurt more than fists or anything else, and sometimes his words are like a sharp sword.

M. NEVER RESIDES IN NEW York City. When she's not researching ways to tie up her characters in compromising positions, you can usually find her at the gym kicking the crap out of a punching bag, or eating at some new trendy restaurant.

She has a dependence on sushi and a fetish for boots. Fall is her favorite season.

She is surrounded by family and friends she wouldn't trade for the world and is a little in love with her readers. The more the merrier. So make sure to say hi!
