Rebecca Donovan was missing intimacy, but no matter how much she longed for a man to warm her bed and heart, she would not give Charlie a second chance.

Charlie Cole was missing Rebecca Donovan, yet his pride wouldn't allow him to beg. It took one life changing night to bring the two back together and this time neither was prepared to let the other go.

"Strength is overcoming your worst fear." ~ Charlie Cole

Rebecca Donovan had me envious of the 50’s style persona from the very beginning. A confident and mature woman who is comfortable in her own skin is a female lead character I can get behind.  Rebecca makes me long for some cat-eye glasses and pantyhose with a seam up the back. She’s sexy and sassy.

Charlie is your typical man-whore, not yet reformed. It’s always a good start for me as these are generally my favorite “type” of heroes. You know, where the guy is a huge slut and then meets the girl that he has a real emotional connection to… the girl he’s willing to forsake all other women for. Love that and Charlie didn’t disappoint.

I’m still not sure I 100% believe the quick jump from one night of sexy sex a year before this novel starts to madly-in-love-can’t-live-without-you-ness that the characters morphed into in less than a month. The character development, for me, could have gone a little deeper.

Though I don’t mind reading books told from a third person point of view, I will say I found it a little more difficult with this book despite the clear indication at the beginning of each chapter.  Rebecca’s POV was easy enough for me to follow, but Charlie’s thoughts felt more like a woman’s thoughts if she were trying to think like a man by the frequent use of the word “dude”.  Occasionally I thought I was reading from Rebecca’s POV and would find out it was still Charlie.

I enjoyed the steamy parts and the suspense as well as the hot “calendar” guys that appear frequently.  This book was definitely packed full of testosterone and hunky men.

I'm just a little Aussie girl with a big imagination, so much to write and so little time to do it. When I'm not writing (or reading) I am kept smiling and sane (for the most part) by my 5 year old daughter. She is the light in my world. I have a wonderfully supportive family who keep me completely grounded. Trust me, they will never let any success go to my head!! And I love them for it. I enjoy ice cold ciders, barbeques, music and art. I hate cooking, in fact I think I have major kitchen allergies. My feet rarely grace anything other than flip-flops and even in the middle of a hot Aussie summer, I love my jeans!!! To sum me up in a few words (and you know how hard just a few words is for an author) ~ easy going, laid back, dreamy and passionate.

I hope you all love reading my novels as much as I love writing them.
