New Adult bestselling author Monica Murphy winds up her sensational series with this sexy story of two college kids with nothing in common but a bunch of baggage and a burning attraction.
Over. That about sums up everything in my life. Suspended from my college football team and forced to cut back my hours at The District bar because of my crappy grades, I can’t keep turning to my sister, Fable, and her pro-football playing husband, Drew, to bail me out. I just can’t seem to find my own way. Weed and sex are irresistible temptations—and it’s messed up that I secretly hand over money to our junkie mom. A tutor is the last thing I want right now—until I get a look at her.
Chelsea is not my type at all. She’s smart and totally shy. I’m pretty sure she’s even a virgin. But when she gives me the once over with those piercing blue eyes, I’m really over. But in a different way. I won’t deny her ass is killer, but it’s her brain and the way she seems to crave love—like no one’s ever given her any—that make me want her more than any girl I’ve ever met. But what would someone as seemingly together as her ever see in a screwed up guy like me?
I have followed this series from the very beginning. Drew and Fable are one of my favorite book couples. I was thrilled when I found out Fable's little brother, Owen, was going to get his own book. I love that I have been able to watch these characters grow and blossom through this series. Fable and Drew have settled into married life and live in San Francisco now. When we catch up with Owen, it is four years later, just as the title conveys. Fable's baby brother has come a long way from a troubled teen to a drool worthy book boyfriend.
Chelsea is Owen's love interest in Four Years Later. She is sweet and shy and has brought in by Owen's counselor and coach to be his tutor. Owen is slacking off in school and if he can't get his grades up his football playing days are over. Of course, as any typical hero does, he has no interest in being tutored by Chelsea and gives her some major attitude.
This story wouldn't have been complete if Fable and Owen's poor excuse for a mother didn't make an appearance. She's just as messed up as ever. And she loves to manipulate her son.
This was a great book and rounded out the One Week Girlfriend series nicely. I loved to see Owen come into his own. I hope maybe we get another little novella for him and Chelsea. And maybe, just maybe, Monica Murphy will write a book for Wade. Pretty please...

I love the emotion that Monica puts into her writing. The story that is told is such a sad but yet beautiful one! I absolutely love how Owen and Chelsea fit and their story.
The only thing that I didn't really like was I felt like the beginning was a little rushed, not as easily flowing as the rest of the story. Also I was so sad to see it end. I would have liked to have seen just a bit more in the ending but that is me being a greedy reader. ;) I really hope to see more from this group!!
