Title: Sweet Addiction
Series: Sweet Addiction #1
Author: J Daniels
Release Date: May 2, 2014
Wedding hookups never amount to anything.
Those who partake in this wicked little activity know the rules. Get in. Get laid. Get out. There's no expectation of a relationship. It is what it is.
Dylan Sparks knows the rules. She’s familiar with the protocol. And she engages in the best sex of her life with a complete stranger at her ex-boyfriend’s wedding.
Reese Carroll doesn’t care about the rules. He wants more than just one night with Dylan. And he’s too addicting to pass up.
Sweet Addiction is the story of one girl’s struggle to keep things casual, and one boy’s desire to never let her go.

What a fun, sexy, feel good book! I have been immersed in the biker world recently and this one was a great pick me up after all the violence and grit of those stories.
Jessica Daniels has written an amusing book sure to appeal to every romance lover out there. And damn, who knew those number crunching accountants were so damn sexy!
A heroine you'll love, a hero you'll drool over and a zany cast of secondary characters make this story the total package for me. Oh and of course let's not forget the hot sex! This book has an abundance of that. Plus there's no cliffhanger and is a standalone.
A+ Jessica, what a great debut.

Ever read the exact right book at the exact right time? I did. I just finished the book I needed to read, without even realizing I needed to read it. Sweet Addiction was that book. It had good, strong, sweet characters with problems small and big (but not too big!) It had moments happy and sad (but not too sad!) And it had just the right amount of sexy times (sexy times at less 10% = my kinda book!) But I have some sage advice for you all, for the characters of this book and, unfortunately, for myself.
Communication is key. Seriously, we all need to learn to talk it out calmly or else... Let it all out people! Confront it. Admit it. Just. Don't. Avoid. It. (I'm really not one to talk. I'm not a great communicator - unless you count nagging and/or trying to get the last word. Whoops!)
Dylan Sparks is 26 years old, owner of a successful bakery, maker of gorgeous cakes and best friends with her over-the-top gay assistant and an awesome wedding planner. Everything in her life is great even though she's about to attend the wedding of her cheating ex. Reese Carroll, hot CPA, good guy and perennial bachelor isn't looking for anything more than a slutty wedding hookup when Dylan literally lands in his lap. Sensing the connection and wanting to give casual a try, Dylan follows Reese into the bathroom and encounters some seriously intense sex. Confusion reigns as misinformation is shared and feelings are denied. Will this wedding hookup ever become anything more??
I was so happy reading this book. I've read a few really intense books recently and honestly, I've not had the best week personally, so I when I opened Sweet Addiction I wanted it to be funny, sweet (like the title) and not too emotionally challenging. I got what I wanted. I didn't realise until I'd finished it but it turned my whole mood around. I shouldn't have been surprised. When I am reading a well written, well thought out book I often get invested and let what happens to the characters affect me. Dylan and Reese were great characters to spend a few hours with. Their relationship and their chemistry was apparent. There were a couple of "bonus" love stories simmering below the surface, which just made their book that much sunnier and more romantic. Their friends were funny and kept the story moving forward by dropping hints that we, as readers, could see but apparently our lovers were blind to. Because seriously people, let's work on our communication!! I mean I know it's a book and without miscommunication and conflict it could - and likely would - get boring. So it makes perfect sense from that perspective. That being said, I couldn't help but be a little frustrated that neither Dylan nor Reese were able to say what needed to be said. Too often it seemed that they both ignored the signs - Dylan in particular. It was maddening because it was so obvious in the way their story was written. Ultimately though, it led to one of my favourite things - a happily ever after. That's not a spoiler because there is no cliffhanger. Just a straight-up sweet, addicting book with some seriously loveable characters. Listen to me and I'll give it to you straight - I needed it and so do you.
This the first book in the Sweet Addiction series but can be read as a standalone, no cliffhanger.
