Forever. Everlasting. Eternal.
There is no measure of time.
No sounds of the ticking of a clock.
Just the rising and falling of the sun.
And our own sense of forever.
But our forever isn't always.
Unbelievably amazing story about finding your One True Love at a young age and it becomes your "More Than Forever"! 5 +++++++ stars and more
This is the story of Cam and Lucy from the very beginning and boy is it a STORY!! I will not give much of anything away because I want you to read it and be surprised like I was. There is so much emotion from the very beginning so please have everything you need with you because once you start reading you won't want to put it down. Also have with you a box of Kleenex because there will be happy and sad tears. Jay McLean puts her whole heart and emotions into her books and that makes them that much more amazing!
From the first time Cam saw Lucy he knew she was it for him. Period. No questions asked. Cameron, is a sweet, funny, talented, emotional, strong, sexy guy that has you swooning and turning into goo with the things he does and says for/to Lucy. He's become my new book boyfriend and all the other ones will now be measured against him. Cam is there for Lucy through the good, bad, sad and the unexpected and he becomes her rock. You can feel the love Cam has for Lucy throughout the book, it makes you fall more in love with him and hope you can find your own personal Cam!!
Lucy, at such a young age of 15 has to grow up fast and literally has to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders. She becomes good at gliding through it and shutting herself down to everyone. Her way of coping with everything she's going through is by getting lost in her books. Well, that is until Cameron comes into her life. I loved the interaction between Cameron and her brothers and to see how Cameron becomes their Hero was so heartwarming...**sighs**. I really loved the way Lucy and her dad, Tom get through the hurdles that life throws at them and see how beautifully their dad/daughter relationship blossoms.
As you read you will see both Cameron and Lucy grow up before your eyes. We see how they compliment each other and become each other's rock as they take on what life throws their way. We also see how they cope with changes when they start college and how their group of friends are there for them when times get rough. One moment you're smiling and laughing then you're screaming, gasping, face palming and wanting to choke one or both of them for decisions and comments they do and say to each other.
This really is a roller coaster of a book that will have you holding on tight but despite it all you WILL WANT to go through it again :-) Like I said at the beginning, I did not want to give much away because I want you to be as surprised as I was reading this AMAZING book. This is one of my top 3 books and I will be re-reading it many times. You WILL NOT regret getting lost in this AMAZING book. Can't wait for what else Jay McLean has in store for us!!!
~ Review by Kara
I see her wobble on her feet before she slowly tumbles to the ground. Her knees give out first, then the rest of her. It feels like I should've gotten to her earlier, but seconds of panic took place before my mind kicked into gear. And the rest is a blur.
Her friend's standing over us while I rest her head on my lap.
"Lucy," I say. And it's the first time I've said her name out loud. It'd been over three weeks since I'd learned it.
"What happened?" Logan asks her friend.
"I don't know." She's as panicked as I am, if not worse.
"Is she dehydrated?" Logan picks up what looks like an uneaten sandwich.
"Is this hers? Has she eaten?"
I don't know why it annoys me that Logan is asking all the right questions and all I can do is stare down at her. She's breathing, so I guess that's something.
He drops down on his knees on the other side of her and pours water from his bottle into his hand, and then he runs it across her forehead and into her hairline.
"Is she alright, mate?" Jake asks.
He's new and has a weird accent but Logan seems to think he's cool so we keep him around.
Logan does the water thing again, and this time her eyes slowly flutter open. And I release the breath I was holding.
"It's okay," Logan says to her, "you just passed out."
He's in her face now, and I want to punch him for being the first thing she sees when she comes to. I was here first; I was the one watching her when she fell. It should have been me.
Jay McLean is the author of the More Series, including More Than This, More Than Her, More Than Him and soon to be released, More Than Forever. She also has two standalones coming soon titled The Road, and Combative. Jay is an avid reader, writer, and most of all, procrastinator. When she's not doing any of those things, she can be found running after her two little boys, or devouring some tacky reality TV show. She writes what she loves to read, which are books that can make her laugh, make her smile, make her hurt, and make her feel.
