Title: Wicked Innocence
Author: Missy Johnson
Release Date: August 4, 2014
Don’t let my petite and innocent appearance fool you, because I’m one person you don’t want to cross. I’m Micah, the youngest member of Resurrection…If only they knew how young.
My fake ID says I’m twenty-one. And I will be…in four years.
What can I say? I blossomed early. Home sucked, so I left, determined to do something with my life.
Landing the gig as lead vocalist in the band was a dream come true. I’ve worked hard to make something of myself and nothing is going to ruin that for me.
Then He showed up. Saxon Waite, ex bad boy of rock.
He’s hot as hell and so into me.
But he’s also twenty-five.
I don’t want to lie to him, but if the truth comes out I’ll lose everything. Including him.

A hot rockstar and an underage girl? I was all over this. And I'm glad I was. Saxon was a washed up rockstar who left the music scene when it became too much. After some time he became the manager of his cousin's band. Enter Micah. A 21 year old (actually 17) runaway who auditioned for the band and made it. Music had been part of Micha’s life forever and she was obsessed with Sax when he was a rockstar. Sax was equally attracted to Micah.
“Did she really not understand what she did to probably every guy she made contact with? She was a walking, talking wet dream.”
The connection between the two was undeniable. They tried to refute it for their own reasons, but eventually they couldn’t hold back any longer. And it was HOT!
“Do you like it when I touch you?” I whispered. “Or do you prefer it when I lick you?”

Wicked innocence was about two lost souls being brought together by music.
“Pain is life. You can’t avoid it. It’s how you find the strength to go on that shapes you as a person. Without pain you can’t live.”

But did they end up with a HEA once the truth about their age difference was revealed? You'll have to read and find out.

When I read the blurb for this book, I was like 'I need this now!' The story line really intrigued me and I couldn't wait to start reading it. Wicked Innocence is about 17-year-old Micah whose real name is actually Mikayla. When she was 14, she got a fake ID and then she became Micah. She wanted to get away from her mom and foster homes, so she ran away.
I admired Micah and the way that she found a way to better herself. She may have had to lie about who she really was but she needed to do it to survive. She has a bad past and she needed to get away from it. She is very mature for 17 and has already gone through a lot at a young age.
Micah loves to sing so she tries out for a band called Resurrection. Saxon Waite is the manager of the band. He is 25 and used to be a rock god but some things happened, he quit his band and cleaned up his act. Saxon and Micah have great chemistry but Saxon already thinks she's too young for him when he believes she is 21.
It doesn't take long for him to give into their chemistry, but they keep it on the down low because of his cousin Harry. Harry and Saxon don't get along and they often argue and fight because of things that happened in the past. Harry is also the lead guitarist in the band.
I love books about rock stars and this one didn't disappoint. This was the first book I've read by Missy Johnson, but it won't be the last. I hope that Saxon and Micah will be getting another book because I would love to read more about them.

I was so excited for this book and Missy Johnson did not disappoint. Micah had a rough childhood especially after losing the one person she loved dearest, her dad. So by the time she was 17 she was ready to move on with her life, a new identity and an opportunity to make her dream come true to sing in a band. I give it to Micah, she is one determined girl that does not give up and won't let anything stand in her way. While she was given a second chance to try out with an up and coming band she meets the band's manager and to her surprise it is Saxon Waite a "has been rocker" but still Hot & Sexy!!!
Saxon Waite is a different person now and because of his troubled past, all he wants is to redeem himself and make amends for all the wrong he's done. Now being the manager he's trying to do things differently from when he was in the band, but it's going to be a challenge with the beauty that has just joined the band, Micah.
There is instant chemistry between Saxon & Micah and they both try really hard to not give in. It's hard because while they start their road tour they are thrown into each others way constantly. Saxon really tries to stay away from Micah because he wants to be different from his band days but it's a battle that he just cannot win, especially where the heart is involved. One thing leads to another and Saxon & Micah have to hide it from the band members but it becomes more difficult especially since, Harry, Saxon's cousin picks up on them and tries to instigate.
There is drama that involves broken hearts, trust issues, letting go of the past so you can move forward as well as forgiving yourself. Now don't get me wrong there was good romance but I wanted more passion between Saxon & Micah. Please tell me there is another book because I felt like it was left up in the air....I want them to have closure and a HEA.

Missy lives in a small town in Central Victoria with her husband, and her confused pets (a dog who think she’s a cat, a cat who thinks he’s a dog…you get the picture).
