Alright, *cracks knuckles* here we go. This is so tough for me to write because I have loved Travis and Trent Maddox so hard! I went into Beautiful Redemption with extremely high expectations. And maybe that was part of the problem.
The two previous brothers set the bar very high. This one, Thomas, was just kind of meh. I could take him or leave him. The same with Liis, Thomas's love interest. I couldn't connect with her. Yes, she was very strong-minded and opinionated, let's face it, those Maddox boys need a take-no-shit woman by their side. But those qualities that should have endeared her to me as a reader also really ticked me off.
What I did like about the book was the background we got on how Travis came to be the Travis we met in the epilogue of Walking Disaster. Of course, catching up with the other couples, Travis and Abby, and Trent and Cami, were also huge highlights for me. YAY for cameo appearances!
While this book did redeem itself in the end, it just wasn't enough for me to want to change my rating. But I'm on pins and needles to get to the twins, Taylor and Tyler's, books!
Beautiful Redemption is told in Liis first person POV. It is the second book in the Maddox Brothers series and cannot be read as a standalone.

Ah, bummer that the heroine drove you nuts and it didn't quite meet expectation. I haven't read any of the Maddox Brothers books yet.
