Review - All Played Out by Cora Carmack

Title: All Played Out
Series: Rusk University #3
Author: Cora Carmack
Release Date: May 12, 2015

First person in her family to go to college? CHECK.
Straight A’s? CHECK.
On track to graduate early? CHECK.
Social life? …..yeah, about that….

With just a few weeks until she graduates, Antonella DeLuca’s beginning to worry that maybe she hasn’t had the full college experience. (Okay... Scratch that. She knows she hasn't had the full college experience).

So Nell does what a smart, dedicated girl like herself does best. She makes a "to do" list of normal college activities.

Item #1? Hook up with a jock.

Rusk University wide receiver Mateo Torres practically wrote the playbook for normal college living. When he’s not on the field, he excels at partying, girls, and more partying. As long as he keeps things light and easy, it's impossible to get hurt... again. But something about the quiet, shy, sexy-as-hell Nell gets under his skin, and when he learns about her list, he makes it his mission to help her complete it.

Torres is the definition of confident (And sexy. And wild), and he opens up a side of Nell that she's never known. But as they begin to check off each crazy, exciting, normal item, Nell finds that her frivolous list leads to something more serious than she bargained for. And while Torres is used to taking risks on the field, he has to decide if he's willing to take the chance when it's more than just a game.

Together they will have to decide if what they have is just part of the experiment or a chance at something real.

Cora has done it again. This book is another touchdown in the Rusk University series!

I absolutely loved Nell and her to-do lists. She was someone I could relate to and I loved that she was finally able to open herself up. And Mateo, oh Mateo. He is shameless, charming and a flirt, but he is so kind and loving when you get to know him.

“Wild and carefree and so, so handsome it’s hard to breathe.”

The two of them together are fantastic! They are complete opposites and complement each other so well.

How is it that I could be addicted to him already? That I could crave him this much?

Nell and Mateo couldn’t keep their hands off each other and it was a first for both of them. Together, the two of them went through a lot of firsts and I LOVED watching Torres help Nell cross firsts off her list. It was amazing to see her find who she was, rather than who she is supposed to be.

In true Cora fashion, the book made me laugh out loud numerous times.

“What if he’d just…I don’t know…stuck it in, no warning or whatever. Like…SURPRISE! Here’s a penis.”

I’m literally laughing as I type this line. It made me smile, it made me emotional, and of course it was sexy!

I loved how much of the rest of the team we got to see as well; Dallas and Carson, and my faves, Silas and Dylan, not to mention some of the other teammates. I particularly adored the friendship Nell made with Stella, and I hope that Stella gets her book next so we can find out what happened to her and what the deal with Ryan is.

This was another phenomenal read and I can’t wait for more from Ms. Carmack!
