Review - Madame X by Jasinda Wilder

Title: Madame X
Series: Madame X #1
Author: Jasinda Wilder
Release Date: October 6, 2015

Madame X invites you to test the limits of control in this provocative new novel from New York Times bestselling author Jasinda Wilder.

My name is Madame X.
I’m the best at what I do.
And you’d do well to follow my rules...

Hired to transform the uncultured, inept sons of the wealthy and powerful into decisive, confident men, Madame X is a master of the art of control. With a single glance she can cut you down to nothing, or make you feel like a king.

But there is only one man who can claim her body—and her soul.

Undone time and again by his exquisite dominance, X craves and fears his desire in equal measure. And while she longs for a different path, X has never known anything or anyone else—until now...

Wow! Just wow! This story has my mind reeling. It was utterly addictive and intriguing. It was nothing like what I expected it to be.

“Silence breathes truth; solitude breeds introspection.”

Madame X trains rich, arrogant boys into men worthy of their wealth. She is very good at her job and it is one of the only things she knows. Having been found after a horrific ordeal, Caleb Indigo took her in and taught her to be who she now is.

“Caleb Indigo was created by an artist for the express purpose of ravishing women. Specifically, in this moment, this woman.”

Caleb is a man who gets what he wants. Madame X is his. He is controlling, dominant, and at times demeaning, but he is all X has. At times, I HATED him in this story, and other times I found myself warming up to him. Honestly, I still don’t know what I feel about him at the end of the story.

“I need you. I don’t want to need you, but I do. And you will not, cannot give me you.”

I don’t want to spoil this story by saying anymore. It will leave you with more questions than answers, but I couldn’t put it down. I furiously swiped the pages of my kindle, looking for more truths to be revealed.

This story was sensual and provocative. It will open your eyes to so many different things. I love stories that suck me in and won’t let up until I’m done, and that continue to plague my thoughts for days later. This was one of those stories. I cannot wait for the next part!
