Blog Tour - Finding Us by S K Hartley

Title: Finding Us
Series: Bad Boy #3
Author: S K Hartley
Release Date: June 18, 2014

Tate & Low's story

I'm loud, I'm proud, and I like to bust balls in my spare time.
At least, that's what Low Parker would do. But she is just a mask, one I have perfected over years of running.

I am Willow Knoxx. Master of deception, secrets, and lies.

I am the girl your mother told you to stay away from, and the girl your father fantasized about. I have been running for years, always looking over my shoulder.

Now, the mask I have perfected is about to disappear, and everything I have done to keep myself hidden is about to be revealed.

“Enough room?” He growled, his brow arching at my comment. “Baby, I don’t think you get it yet. I want to consume your every thought, every movement, every desire.”

His hands suddenly cupped my face as he leaned in close, his breath caressing my lips like soft silk. My pulse skyrocketed at his closeness, as it did every time he was near, sending me dizzy with lust. I could feel the vulnerability snaking its way through my body, latching onto my crimson blood as it slowly seeped through my skin. I could physically smell my vulnerability as it permeated the air around us. I could smell it, taste it, see it.

“Okay,” I squeaked, the fear of my secrets dripping from my soft voice.

“Listen, and listen good, Low. I will consume every part of you. I will consume every thought, every movement, every desire. You won’t be able to breathe without thinking of me, feeling me, wanting only me. Am I clear?”

Oh dear god.

I could feel the lump in my throat forming, choking me with every second that passed, seconds that felt like torturous hours.

“Yes,” I replied on a shaky breath.

Words had yet again failed me. I was sprouting one word answers because Tate did something to me that no man had ever accomplished. He made me feel.

His lips suddenly crashed against my own, the power he held over me pushing boundaries I didn’t know were there. His teeth scraped against my bottom lip, pulling and tugging as if pleading for entry. My head screamed, begged, and bartered, yelling at me to stop, to push back and leave. But his lips and teeth held me captive, my heart jumping at the chance to finally overpower my head, all too willing to be his victim.

FINDING US TEASER #6

"Ahh, liquid heaven." I sighed, inhaling the rich aroma from my coffee cup. The scent alone loosened my tense muscles, taking the edge off the monstrous hangover I was still nursing.

"Two skinny lattes!" Jared hollered to absolutely no one, the glint in his eyes told me he knew I was dealing with a hangover from hell. His voice sounded like a high pitch shrill, ringing into my ears and playing my brain like a freaking drum kit. I really should lay off the Tequila.

"Jared, dude, lower the freaking volume would ya?!" I groaned, slowly rubbing my temples, trying to alleviate the throb that had now taken over my delicate head.

Jared's laughing eyes meet mine as he slid the lattes across the counter in a drink carrier. "Late night?" He chuckled.

Now, if my head didn't feel like it was about to roll off my shoulders and land into a poor unassuming strangers lap, I would’ve probably slapped that stupid smile off his face. Jared Spencer was the hottest piece of ass on campus; dirty blonde hair that was long in the front and short at the back, deep blue eyes that instantly pulled you in, and let’s not forget the rocking hot body underneath his apron. But, there was a downside... he's gay. I'm not talking a little gay, I mean thrust your hip out, pout like a model, gay. Such a shame.

"Just because you can swallow margaritas like water, doesn't mean the rest of us can you know." I said, raising my brow.

Placing his hand on his hip, he thrust it out to the side dramatically. "Girl, that's not the only thing I can swallow like wat-"

"La, la , la, la! I can't hear you!" I shouted, cutting him off as I picked up the coffees and made a run for the door.

"Don't hate the player, girlfriend!"

Blog Tour - Finding Me by S K Hartley

Title: Finding Me
Series: The Bad Boy Series #2
Author: S K Hartley
Release Date: January 27, 2014

The lines are blurred between what is real and what isn't, the darkness that was once a place I feared was now a place of safety. If I stayed in the darkness, the hellish reality of what was truly happening no longer seemed real.

But I was about to be pulled out from under the consuming blanket of dark shadows, and plunged into the murky depths of my past. I was about to be shown my demons and all it's evil sides, all of it's pain and grief. I could only hope I survive it.

What happens when the world you once knew crumbles and falls at your feet?

Who will find me? Who will save me from my demons?

My dark prince or my white knight...

And will I find myself in the process.

I absolutely loved Finding you and as most everyone, I too was dying to find out what happened next in Finding Me after that cliffy left us hanging.

I loved the first three fourths of the book even though it broke my heart a few times and brought tears to my eyes more times than I can count.  This isn't your normal romance story.  Neva has been to hell and back, so of course it isn't going to be all sunshine and flowers.  I think S.K Hartley nailed in on that aspect and I loved the emotion and feelings that she drew out of me during the story.

I however was really disappointed in how short it was.  I also would have liked to have seen more of the end.. I cant really go into details without spoilers so the only way I can put it is..... I felt like it went from one thing to the next and then when she was where she should be...... BAM it was over.  I guess what I'm trying to say is, I felt the story was incomplete.  I know that there is more to come so I would be interested to see where it goes from here.

"Neva, don't walk away from me!" Logan spits.

He is angry. What right did he have to be angry with me? I wasn't the one flirting with another girl. Why was he even here anyway? "Go away, Logan!" I say, walking faster.

Suddenly my arms are latched to my back and I am being spun around. My heartbeat picks up around twenty notches as I come eye to eye with Logan.

"Why the hell are you always running from me? I can't take it when you run from me!"

"I'm not doing this now. Let me go." I say, trying to get my wrist free from his grasp.

"No, we are doing this now. Why the hell did you run?"

"We're all running from something, Logan." I spit, repeating Dex's words.

"You still don't get it do you? How much clearer do I need to be for you to understand that I'm not going anywhere? I have been in love with you for ten years, Neva! Ten years. It isn't just going to go away!"

"I never asked you to love me! Why are you doing this to me?" "Because I hate seeing you fall and not get back up. I want to be the one to catch you, but you keep pushing me away!"

"What do you want from me?" I whisper.

"You. Just you. All of you. Every broken piece."

I bow my head. He releases my wrists from behind my back, and they drop to my side. I can't give him what he wants. I just can't do it. I will break him. Christ, I break myself on a daily basis.

"I can't give you that." I say, taking a step back.

"I'm not giving you up without a fight, Neva. You can't just walk away from us!"

"I am protecting you the only way I know how."

"I don't need protecting. What part of me looks like it needs protecting?"

"Your heart." I whisper. I gulp back the tears that were begging to release. I would not cry. But every time I pushed back that feeling, it hurt just a little bit more.

"You're breaking it right now." He whispers, taking a step towards me.

"I will break it over and over again, Logan. My nightmares will hurt you, my fear of people being ripped away from me will gut you, and my anxiety will spike yours."

"I can take pain, Neva. I had dealt with it for the past three weeks. I would rather have the pain with you, than without you."

"I … I." The words are at the tip of my tongue. Waiting to release, but I know if I say them, everything will change. Nothing will be the same and I will drag him into the pit of hell where my heart lies and my nightmares are real.

"I can't."
