Release Boost - Taken by the Pikosa Warlord by Elizabeth Stephens

Title: Taken by the Pikosa Warlord
A Barbarian SciFi Romance
Series: Xiveri Mates #7
Author: Elizabeth Stephens
Genre: Barbarian Warlord/Sci-Fi Alien Romance
Release Date: August 31, 2021

BLURB

Halima
I’m wrenched from a five thousand year sleep into a new world. It was supposed to be uninhabited. Humans were supposed to have died off. Those of us preserved in the stasis tanks were supposed to rebuild.

But there were survivors. And now those survivors have formed factions. The leading tribes enslave those weaker and language keeps them apart.

Funny, because in my past life I was the interpreter and I intend to bridge the gaps so that when we escape, we do it together. But I have to get past the warlord watching me first.

Ero
Communication between tribes is unheard of. Forbidden. A death sentence. I should kill the little slave that dares defy this edict.

But the signs suggest something unthinkable. That this little creature is mine.

I need to find a way to get rid of her before she dismantles everything, escapes, liberates slaves, brings warring tribes to my doorstep…but to do that, I’ll have rid myself of this pesky little thing called want.

She makes me want her.

Taken by the Pikosa Warlord is a barbarian SciFi romance that is a complete standalone within the Xiveri Mates series. It features a dark, savage warlord and the brilliant interpreter who defies him, action, steam and a guaranteed HEA.

EXCERPT

Ero hisses, “Halima.”
“Halima.” I blink and see waves, but they don’t belong to the river. They belong to the ocean. I look up and a man is smiling at me. He has my eyes and my stubborn chin, at least, that’s what my mother tells me. I’m crying but he’s chuckling lightly as he reaches forward and pulls the plastic bag out of my hand.
I’d been devastated to see so much trash on the beach, but my father just grins gently and says, “It resists. That’s how the ocean survives, despite all the harm we do to it. It resists, remaining unbroken. And though it is unbroken by us, it can break us so easily. There are too many droplets and, when they gather, they are capable of magnificent violence. Its calm now is just an illusion so be careful, habibty, with the ocean.
“Respect it, but know that if it can remain unbroken by us, then you should not be broken by this.” He holds up the plastic bag and stuffs it into his pocket. “Now come. Let’s catch up to your mother, aunt and uncle, and all your cousins. The family is waiting.”
“Halima.” I look up. Ero is frowning at me and the entire room falls away.
I waver as I come out of the dream and my slick leather sandal slips on a couple of the rocks. I fall back onto my butt, quickly pulling my toes out of the stream. When I look up, Ero is perched forward on the edge of his seat, veins in his forehead popping proudly. I can see his tension even from here. He opens his mouth, but doesn’t say anything, so I use the opportunity.
“You shouldn’t have done that to Haddock. It was my betrayal. I wanted you to sleep, not to die. I don’t want anyone to die.”
Leaning his elbows onto his knees, he sneers, “It is a bit late for that now, don’t you think?”

AUTHOR BIO

Elizabeth Stephens writes romance of the SciFi, paranormal and suspenseful varieties. Her favorite trope is enemies-to-lovers and she loves to world-build so much so that she sometimes gets lost in places that don't exist.

One year into her author journey, she's been shocked to see her books listed among Amazon's bestsellers in their categories. Still, her favorite pieces of fanmail are from BIPOC women expressing surprise and gratitude that they've found an author who looks like them and (does her very best!) to write books that make them feel included.

Other than writing, Elizabeth also likes to throw very exciting-looking pottery on her balcony in Berlin where she lives with her loving husband (who bought her said pottery wheel for her last birthday) and her doggo, King Louis. Though she's lived over half her life abroad, she still calls Seattle home.

Release Boost - Taken to Lemora by Elizabeth Stephens

Title: Taken to Lemora
A Grumpy Alien Romance
Series: Xiveri Mates #6
Author: Elizabeth Stephens
Genre: Sci-Fi Alien Romance
Release Date: July 29, 2021

BLURB

Raingar
My horns itch and I hate it. I’m a Lemoran clan chief and I hate that I’m being forced to schmooze with the other Quadrant dignitaries.

Looking for a way out, I run into flesh peddlers. Pagh! I hate flesh peddlers and I’m not interested in what they’re selling!

Until I see her…

Half human, Essmira’s soft, and I hate that she’s so easy to break. I hate that her beauty makes my horns and heart both ache. And most of all, I hate that she has no idea that she’s my mate.

Essmira
A female must always smile. She must always aim to please. She must always obey.

A pleasure female, that’s what I’ve spent my whole life training to be. Now that I’ve been purchased by a Lemoran clan chief, I’m more than happy to please him. But his pleasure might be out of my reach.

Because he doesn’t want me to be a pleasure female anymore. He wants me to be…me.

Taken to Lemora is a full length (85k word) SciFi alien romance that features one grumpy alien and a hybrid human female just discovering freedom and eager to grab it by the horns. Literally. Lemora is the not-too-distant neighbor of Voraxia and while this book cameos a couple familiar faces, it can be read as a standalone.

EXCERPT

“Do you…” Raingar swallows, sounding perturbed himself. It’s enough to bring my gaze back up to his. He swallows again. “Would you like to be a pleasure female?” His voice cracks a dozen times over those eight little words, if I’m counting correctly.
A rogue smile breaks out over my face, completely twisting the shame that had been spiraling through me until it winks out of existence. I lick my lips. His gaze flutters down to them. I inhale deeply. His gaze flutters down to my breasts.
“Yeffa.”
His expression hardens, eyes snapping back to mine. I can hear the sound of his fingertips scraping over the hard wood on either side of my head.
And then I whisper, “But only for the right male.” I hope he hears the implication that I’m too much of a coward to voice as a demand. I hope he hears my need.
I think he does, because his face morphs into a mask of shock, but he recovers quickly. Pressing his entire body forward slightly so that we’re separated by little more than my forearm’s length, his heat washes over me.
“Just for one male?”
“Yeffa. Just for one male.”
He chokes and comes forward a little more, to the point that I lose focus on his face and look at his chest instead. I have to clench my palms around my scar in order to stop from touching him. A female must wait for permission before touching the male… Ohr that.
I slide my palm over his pectoral, smoothing over the flat, dark brown nipple.
He bends down and growls in my ear, “But Essmira, would you not rather be a mate?”
“A mate?”
“Yeffa. A mate.”
My fingers slide down…down… “I don’t know anything about that.” I touch the top of his pants, fingers so dangerously close to the single strap that holds them up on his narrow hips. So close, I could just…pull it.
He sucks in a breath, his eyelids fluttering over his striated eyes. So many colors. So many layers. Not unlike the male himself. “Would you like to?”

Release Blitz - Taken to Kor by Elizabeth Stephens

Title: Taken to Kor
An Alien Pirate Romance
Series: Xiveri Mates #5
Author: Elizabeth Stephens
Genre: Sci-Fi Alien Romance
Release Date: April 17, 2021

BLURB

Deena
Rhork. He's a space pirate. The bad kind. But he's also been my only source of company for the past rotation that I've been held captive.

Halfway across the galaxy, I'm happy to have finally escaped and found more humans...well, I was.

But now, I'm not so sure that people are so much better than pirates. And I'm very sure that I'll need Rhork's help to get out of this. But Rhork thinks I'm a defective female because of my twisted leg. What if he's not willing to give it?

Rhork
Communicating with the human female for almost a rotation was, in retrospect, a poor choice. Now, she seems to be the ever-present voice in my head, distracting me, making me want things I shouldn't.

To make her a pirate.

To show her the universe.

And most of all, to keep her for myself.

Taken to Kor is a full-length (95k words), standalone, SciFi space opera romance featuring an alien pirate who looks like an alien and a plus sized heroine with drive and heart. Enemies-to-lovers who are also fated-mates are common staples of all Xiveri Mates books, which each end with their own special HEA.

EXCERPT

I pat my tits, like I’m trying to make sure they’re still there. A new thought fires into my mind then and I actually manage to voice it. “The cuts.”

“Quintenanrret closed them, but don’t worry, he made sure not to erase the scars. You still bear them.”

“Scars…”

“Yes, I told you, you’d still have them.”

“What? Why?”

He looks at me like I’ve just asked him why there are stars in the sky. “Because if you don’t keep scars from the battles you fought, how will anyone know you fought them?”

“I…” He keeps watching me expectantly, clearly waiting for an answer. I can’t give him one. “I don’t know.”

“The correct answer is, they won’t.”

“Why do they need to?”

“To see your strength. On the outside…” His gaze sweeps my body salaciously, sticking every place it touches. The glue will leave a residue I know I’ll never be able to wipe away, mainly because I don’t want to. He called me beautiful once. When he looks at me like this, I imagine that he was telling the truth.
