I just love this series. Now on book four, and moving onto the Kendrick brothers after the Bowden boys found their true loves, the Montana Men continue to make me smile, swoon and search for my very own cowboy.

As far as suspenseful romance goes, I've become a big fan of Jennifer Ryan’s. This series, which features handsome cowboys and beautiful, troubled women, always brings the mystery—along with a healthy dose of sexy. But this particular book? It also brought the feels along for the ride. Sadie’s family life, which is far from ideal, was a little bit shattering, and when she experienced a loss, I felt it with her. And by that, I mean I cried. 

But that's okay, because I also smiled a chunk—especially whenever Rory’s younger brother, Colt made an appearance—and found myself clenching my thighs as this couple overcame their obstacles to find their HEA. Oh, and sighing at the gruff but caring Rory. He's the heart-and-panty melting epitome of strong and silent—and I loved him. 

Stone Cold Cowboy was fun, heart-pounding, and yes, perhaps a touch cliché, but it was written so well, and featured a handful of likeable secondary characters (including a couple of Bowden cameos that made me a very happy camper), that I found myself swiping pages like the book addict I am. I simply can't wait to continue with this series; Ms. Ryan, that tease, left some things up in the air between Colt and Luna that I'm going to need to get answers for. Plus, Ford, the other Kendrick boy, clearly has a story that needs telling. A story that needs reading…by me. I'm still searching for my own cowboy, after all.

Her Lucky Cowboy…whoa! I think I might be the lucky one, to have gotten my hot, little hands on this book. I’ve enjoyed the other Montana Men, but Dane is officially my favorite—as I suspected he might be from the start.

Years ago, Dane Bowden was saved by an angel—a beautiful girl that disappeared without a trace. At the end of his championship rodeo career, Dane suffers an accident that leaves him prone…and staring into the same blue eyes that saved him a decade earlier. 

Dr. Bell has experienced much success in her short life. But this genius doctor was all but abandoned by the family that hid her from the public eye, and her social skills are sub-par. There’s no way a handsome, desirable man like Dane Bowden—her fantasy—would ever want her. Right? 

Except Dane does want the Doc, and he’s determined to prove it to her. She’s his angel, and when she is threatened by his past, he’ll do whatever it takes to save her…like she did for him. 

I loved this book!! It was funny, sexy, sweet and deeply emotional in turn, and I couldn’t put it down. I had wanted to read Dane’s story from his first appearance in this excellent cowboy series, and I am thrilled with how it played out. Jennifer Ryan gave the playboy a story that was suspenseful and a little heart-breaking, yet so full of hope my heart near exploded. 

It could have gone the other way. I had high expectations for this one, and that often spells disaster, but not here. Dane was persistent, kind and wonderfully playful with the somewhat awkward, but absolutely loveable Bell. I swooned for him, and the way he was intent on making Bell see that he’d changed…for her. 

And why wouldn’t he want to change his ways for her? Bell is the kind of woman I would love to be friends with; a smart, strong and generous soul, one that has endured much and still tries to see the best even as she feels (rightful) resentment for her circumstances. Both Bell and Dane were easy to love, and together they made a perfect romance couple. It just felt good with them—never forced, never rushed, always so right.

Yes, I do feel lucky to have read this story. The way Dane proves what makes a man and protects what he considers his, the love that is shared in this wonderful family, along with the very hot, very steamy scenes, make Her Lucky Cowboy the perfect weekend read. My only complaint is that it’s over. I would read more about this couple in a heartbeat. I guess I’ll just have to wait for more of Ms. Ryan’s Montana Men.

I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I opened this book. I actually didn't read the blurb properly -- I saw it was Montana and cowboys, and I was hooked -- until after I read the shocking first chapter, and then got a clearer idea of what I was in for. And what I was in for was an= exciting, interesting and well-constructed mystery, and a good start to a new series for a new-to-me author. 

I really enjoyed At Wolf Ranch, and I LOVED Gabe. Aside from being a strong and sexy Alpha cowboy, he was sweet and kind; a gentleman and completely swoon-worthy. I thought he and Ella were perfect together. She was smart and strong, and together they made a strong team. And while some elements of the mystery were a touch on the predictable/convenient side, I still found myself thoroughly invested in this lip-bitin' story. 

There's more to come from the Montana Men series, and I can't be happier about that. I'm excited to see what Jennifer Ryan does with this series, to learn more about the Bowden boys and to see Blake -- whose book comes next and who was my favorite secondary character -- find his girl.
