Review ~ Never Let You Go by Monica Murphy

Title: Never Let You Go
Series: Never Tear Us Apart #2
Author: Monica Murphy
Release Date: May 3, 2016

The second novel in this darkly sexy contemporary series from bestselling author Monica Murphy wraps up an emotionally powerful two-part tale of forbidden love.

The truth hurts, they say—and my pain cuts deep. While I was falling for Ethan, he was deceiving me the entire time. He held a huge secret, protected by his lies. When I discovered what he was hiding, the truth shook my world, threatening to ruin us forever. Ruin me. But I soon realized that what we share can’t be destroyed.

The connection between us is too strong. It always has been. I can’t deny him any longer. And I can’t deny my truth: I’m in love with Ethan.

I don’t want to let him go.

While we’re trying our best to make this relationship work, other forces are fighting against us. My family, who wants to keep me safe. The media obsessed with my tragic past. The public that feeds off of it. Even Ethan’s father—the man who nearly destroyed me all those years ago. He’s doing his best to finish the job.

Despite my love for Ethan, the doubts creep in, clouding my mind. Is he worth the pain? Will our love survive, or will we have no choice but to end it—end us—once and for all?

The conclusion to Ethan and Katherine's gut wrenching story, and whoa, What. A. Roller. Coaster. Ride it was!

Never Tear Us Apart had my heart pounding and wondering would they? Will they? Well, you can stop wondering because Ms. Murphy answers those questions and more for us in Never Let You Go!!

Katherine has gained some confidence back, and she's finally going to put herself first and learn how to live again. Ethan, on the other hand, wants nothing more than to be with Katie but for her own protection and safety he's backed off... That is, until the media keeps bringing the pair together continually.

Let me just say, reading the viewpoint from all of the main characters helped shed light on what each one thought, and why they did what they did. It helped me to see that Ethan's love for Katherine was deep, real and oh, so passionate. The way he treated her, loved her and put her first—always before himself—was just so swoon worthy!

I thought Never Tear Us Apart was exhilarating… Well, Never Let You Go had my emotions all over the place, and I couldn't put it down until I knew if they would survive everything and everyone that was bent on trying to keep them apart. Just amazing!

Review - Never Tear Us Apart by Monica Murphy

Title: Never Tear Us Apart
Series: Never Tear Us Apart #1
Author: Monica Murphy
Release Date: January 5, 2016

Perfect for readers of Colleen Hoover, Jay Crownover, and K. A. Tucker, the first novel in this darkly sexy contemporary series from bestselling author Monica Murphy kicks off an emotionally powerful two-part tale of forbidden love.

Crazy how eight years can disappear in an instant. One look at Katie Watts, and I’m a fifteen-year-old again—the one who risked everything to save a terrified girl from her twisted kidnapper. She’s grown-up now—beautiful, quiet, composed—and telling her story to the world. A story that involves me in more ways than you can imagine. She used to call me her guardian angel. Sure, I risked my life, but she was worth dying for.

I need to make contact with her. Just to ensure that she’s safe.

Somehow we reconnect. We become friends . . . but I want more. I want to make her mine. And she wants me too. Does she know who I am? Has she figured me out? Not yet. But she will. In the meantime, I need to make sure that whatever hold that animal had on her is gone.

So, yeah, I’m stealing these moments with her. Savoring them. Knowing, dreading, that she’ll soon find out who I really am. And everything will fall apart. All because of that twisted, perverted monster sitting on death row. Her kidnapper. A convicted serial killer.

My father.

WTH is all I can say after reading this roller coaster of a book!! As I write this review, I'm still stunned and needing to know what's going to happen to Katherine and Ethan!!

Katie has been through something unimaginable and survived! Though on the outside she seemed fine, the inside was another story. She keeps reliving the pain she endured at the hands of a madman, and because of that event, she has changed how she lives her life entirely!

I appreciated getting the story told in dual POV but also getting the past and present, as well. Reading that Ethan wanted to see how Katherine was doing after her ordeal had me cringing, because I didn't know if he could be trusted, if he was really interested in her wellbeing or just wanted the fame. To be honest, this story has my emotions all over the place, not knowing what would happen next.

Katherine's emotional trip had me wanting to hug her and tell her that it would get better. Ethan's true motive for wanting to seek out Katherine had me hoping that maybe, just maybe, she would feel the same way about him.

Please tell me we get to find out what happens next soon!!
