Review - Total Surrender by Rebecca Zanetti

Title: Total Surrender
Series: Sin Brothers #4
Author: Rebecca Zanetti
Publisher: Forever
Release Date: March 31, 2015

A fight he must win . . .

Piper Oliver knows she can't trust him. They warned her that the tall, dark, and sexy black-ops soldier Jory Dean would try to win her over with his steel-gray eyes and deadly charm, but she won't be conned by this man they call a traitor. All she has to do is figure out the science necessary to save his life, and she's done. Something isn't adding up, though, and she won't rest until she uncovers the truth-even if it's buried in his deep, dangerous kiss.

A passion she can't resist . . .

Jory will do anything to reunite with and save his brothers-even kidnap the gorgeous woman who's working to deactivate the deadly chip in their spines. But the forces determined to destroy his family won't let them go so easily. Keeping Piper alive is more than he bargained for-and so is his burning desire for her. But with every second bringing him closer to certain death, can he afford to lose himself in her hot and willing embrace?

Wow. Those Dean Brothers are something else. I expected a suspenseful, sexy, action packed book but I also got one with love, loyalty, devotion, acceptance, trust, and faith.

In Total Surrender, we finally meet the last Dean Brother, Jory. Jory’s been missing for two years and his ultimate goal is to reunite with his brothers before the kill switches implanted next to their spines go off. He’s got only a week left and he still needs to escape and find them.

Piper Oliver isn’t buying what Jory is selling. He’s a traitor to his country and she’s just there as a computer hacker to try to access his kill switch. But as she spends more time with him, the information she’s been told doesn’t seem to be adding up.

Something isn’t right. Jory and Piper share a connection, but what if that connection isn’t enough to solve the puzzle of the kill switches? What happens then?

I really loved this book. A perfect balance between suspense, action, and sexy times. I loved the interaction with Jory and Piper especially as the truth unfolded. And, yes, I found myself with teary eyes when Jory was reunited with his brothers. This is a phenomenal wrap up to the series and leaves the reader with enough questions answered to be satisfied, but there are also some lingering issues that I hope Rebecca uses for future series.

A betrayal he couldn't forget . . .

For Nate Dean, love is a four-letter word. As part of a secret black-ops military unit, he and his brothers were genetically engineered by the government to be ruthless soldiers with an expiration date. They were loyal only to one another . . . until Nate laid eyes on the woman who stole his heart and blew his world apart. Now, years later, his family is still paying the price for his mistake. But as time runs out, there's only one person who can save his family: the very woman Nate swore he'd never trust again.

A love she couldn't deny . . .

The moment Audrey Madison spies Nate across a crowded ballroom, she can barely breathe. He's just as undeniably sexy as she remembers, yet there's an edge to him now that's as irresistible as it is dangerous. When he asks for her help, Audrey can't refuse. But she has secrets of her own--secrets that, if Nate ever discovers them, may cost them both their lives . . .

Wow, another heart pounding book about the Dean brothers, this time Nathan and Audrey’s story.

Five years ago, Audrey broke things off with Nate to save him and his brothers from further hell with the Commander and her mother, Dr. Madison.

Five years later, Nathan, in his quest to secure the security codes for the kill switches implanted near his and his brother’s spines, tracks down Audrey to see what she knows and if she can lead him to the secret compound to locate the computer files.

Audrey has never forgotten Nathan. Even after 5 years, she still misses him and thinks about him everyday. When approached by him at a political fundraiser, Audrey can't help but think about what could have been with Nathan and if she made the right choice in trying to protect him.

With only three weeks until the kill switches are set to detonate, can Audrey and Nathan figure out the codes to save Nathan's brothers and himself in time? After five years of loving and longing, will Nathan and Audrey find their happily ever after?

This book keep me on the edge of my seat! It's the third book in the series, and let me tell you, these Dean brothers are swoon worthy! I loved their interaction and protectiveness of each other and their wives/girlfriends and anyone else they consider family—never alone is their family motto. Can't wait for the next one—dying to find out what happened to Jory!
