BLURB

Ariel
After I lost my dad, my roommate, with his tighty-whitey, pizza eating, gaming habits, wasn’t worth staying in Seattle for. So when I’m offered a job at an upscale mansion in the middle of Bum-Fuck-Ohio, I take it. I mean, what do I have to lose?
The answer?
Everything.
Not only do I discover that my exceptionally good-looking, albeit moody, landlord is a werewolf, (A-Freaking-Werewolf!) but get this... and it’s the real kicker, we're fated mates! The lust I feel for him is off the charts, which is odd since I’m human and humans being fated to werewolves is basically unheard of. There’s also the fact that I keep passing out and having these crazy dreams that scare Ryker half to death.
Then, I find out that it’s no coincidence that my boss hired me. It seems everyone knows more about me and the fact that I might not actually be human after all, than I do.
As I learn more about what I am, I’m left with more questions than answers. I do know that if left untrained, I’m dangerous for both Ryker and his pack. I have to fix that and fast!

EXCERPT

Somehow, with a speed and strength, I'd never possessed, I flipped him over and rode him. I could tell he was caught off guard by the way his body locked.
I paid no mind to it. It was about him and me, connected. I needed it, and I needed more.
I rode him.
I bit him.
I scratched my nails down his back.
I was wild, nearly feral.
He came again and again, and I didn't let up.
"Ariel," he called. It sounded far off. I needed to fuck him. "Ariel," he grabbed my legs, trying to slow my movements. I batted his hand away. I had to have him.
More. I needed more.
I rocked back and forth fervently. I had no other thought than my need to make him orgasm again.
"Ariel," he yelled again, and the strangest thing happened. He began to change. I lost him inside of me, and I fought to get him back, but he was strong and fast, then he was a wolf pinning me down and snarling at me.
I blinked in surprise, seeming to come to, unsure of what just happened.
I scrambled back on the bed, and even in his wolf form, I could see the scratches and smears of red along his coat.
"Oh, God. What have I done?"

BLURB

Lincoln was my addiction. He was the only man I’d ever been with. Loving him had been like a drug, complete with all the nasty side effects. When I had him, it felt like the greatest high. When I didn’t, it was like my world fell apart. Over the years, I’d realized so much of my time had been a craving-praying for the next hit. Was there a support group for this—In Love Anonymous? If so, I suppose I was working through my steps. I admitted I had a problem, and I wasn’t using anymore. Maybe I was delusional that there was a cure for this kind of sickness?

I met the love of my life at fifteen. He left for the Army when I was sixteen. We dated long distance. Made love for the first time on leave. We married on leave too. So much of our life had been spent apart, so when Linc made a decision that took him away from me for years, sending him to prison, I was done. How many times could our life be put on hold? I knew I deserved to live my life with a partner; not love one who couldn’t stick around.

Now, Lincoln is out and I have to finally put an end to this… to us. A family tragedy forces us together again and we confront what tore us apart. I’m faced with the hardest decision of my life. Should I forgive or should I finally let go and let him have this last goodbye?

Excerpt

“Oh, God!” I said as embarrassment flashed across my face. My cheeks no doubt were blazing red. I needed to hide. I turned to dash back to the couch and under the comfort of the blanket, but in doing so my foot caught on the pant leg and I was falling. The floor approached at rapid speed.

“Whoa, there!” Strong arms wrapped around my waist pulling me back up and into him, saving me from utter disaster. Warm coffee sloshed on the back of my leg, but I didn’t care because I was pressed up against him. His hard body was up against mine and my hand with a mind of its own was touching his chest. My heart rate accelerated. He held me in his arms last night, but somehow being pressed into him right then felt like the first time any man had held me in his arms. It felt powerful. I could feel his heart beating and with each thump I felt stronger; bolder. He set his coffee down behind him on the table and then returned his arm around me. I could feel his jeans against my legs, and I suddenly wished it was his skin I felt. It was a second, maybe two, that I just stayed immobile in his arms, feeling him against me. He inched a tad closer and an almost inaudible gasp left my lips. He heard it though. His eyes darkened and I swore I saw a look of lust. My breasts swelled and I stared up at him, wondering what he would do. Would he kiss me?

To hell with any rational thoughts. I wanted his lips on me. This no longer felt like “just friends” anything.

I looked at his lips. They were soft. Pink. Full. They were moving. He was talking to me. l blinked at him. “I’m sorry what did you say?” I asked and knew I sounded breathy.

He licked his lips and slid his teeth over his bottom lip. “I said careful. Are you alright?” Was I alright! Was I alright! That’s what he asked me. I knew I should answer. I knew I was staring at him dumbfounded because I wasn't alright. Not at all. I was still pressed tight to him, and his grip wasn't loosening. I wasn't okay because all I could think about was those beautiful lips, and how they might feel against mine.

“Keenan,” I whispered his name, it came out like a plea. My eyes moved to his, then to his lips, his beautiful throat and to where my hand splayed against his nipple. I devoured him. Saying his name was all the invitation he needed to move even closer. His dark hair hung over his forehead. His eyes locked on mine. His mouth moved closer and then his lips were on me. Goosebumps erupted over my entire body. His lips were everything I imagined. They were soft at first and then demanding as the tip of his tongue guided my mouth open. The warmth of the kiss spread through me. He gave me everything in that kiss. My toes curled. My hands gripped him tighter. I wanted everything he was offering and more. My leg hooked around his and he lifted me by my bottom. It was a silent command to wrap my legs around his waist and I took it. I’d follow any order his body demanded of me. He turned us and pressed me against the wall. I gripped his hair and he gripped mine back. I felt frantic. Passion was a word I thought I understood. I thought passion was that spark, but no this was an inferno. We blazed.

His lips broke from mine. I lifted my head back and he trailed kisses along my neck and then against my collarbone.

“You drive me fucking crazy,” he said as his hand swept over the swell of my breast.

Crazy. Crazy. Crazy.

Excerpt

I remember a moment like this. One where it felt like the entire universe paused and shifted right under my feet. A moment where a truth changed everything. At this moment, I am altered.

Jake Daniels is standing in front of me.

“No, I can’t believe it,” I say with a fierceness I didn’t know I was capable of.

“Listen, I know there’s some damage, but don't worry we’ll get it fixed,” Stout says in an easy going voice.

My body is locked tight ignoring Stout, my eyes are locked hard on Jake.

“Juniper,” Jake’s voice is soft as he sets down the wrench in his hand and takes a careful step towards me. Careful like he's afraid I’ll bolt, like he sees something in my eyes that he isn’t quite sure of. It’s an emotion he has never seen before on me; straight incomprehensible fury.

“Don’t you dare ‘Juniper’ me. You lost that right you son of a bitch!” I hiss and watch Jake freeze in his step. “You Goddamn motherfucking...” I don’t finish. The anger I feel towards him overwhelms me. I lunge for him and smack him as hard as I can. He’s taller than me by a lot and I have to reach to hit him. I claw and scratch. Kick and punch. I’m so angry.

“Twenty-five minutes from us. You’re twenty-five minutes.” I’m hysterical.

Jake lets me get hits in on him, then says, “Enough.” His voice is darker and deeper than I remember. He scoops me up and throws me over his shoulder as if I weigh nothing.

“Boss, need a few,” he says like I’m not pounding on his back and screaming.

“Put me down, Jake Daniels!”

“Feisty one huh, Jake,” Stout chuckles, then says, “take all the time you need.”

Jake walks us up a set of metal stairs and through a door. My world is flipped upside down when he rights me and deposits me on the edge of a desk, then wraps his arms tightly around me, including my arms so that I can’t move.

“Calm down, June,” he says.

I breathe in and out, deep breaths, trying to calm myself. I won’t look at Jake. I can’t. I’m afraid that if I do, I’ll get drawn right back into him. My eyes are trained on a certification award on the wall behind the desk. My body is rigid. I try not to think about the fact that I am in Jake’s arms and his beautiful masculine scent is surrounding me. Instead, I focus on my behavior and try to get it under control. I’ve thought about how I would be if I saw him again, but no way did those thoughts include me going batshit crazy.
