Only one word can describe Chef Jameson Fury…

SHAMELESS.

He parades around with that sexy smirk and those fabulous abs like he’s the king of the kitchen.

Of all the places he could choose to open his new restaurant, why does it have to be right next door to mine?

It’s hard enough trying to get my place up and running without having him hovering around and disrupting my business.

Not to mention the way my body betrays me every time he’s close.

I should despise him.

But with every prank, every act of sabotage we take against each other…

The tension growing between us inches closer to personal and away from professional.

Things are heating up, and not just in our kitchens…

All because of this shameless chef.

EXCERPT

“And now we would like to welcome celebrity chef, Jameson Fury, who’s here to talk about his new restaurant that will be opening soon over in Bushwick.”
I plaster on my best panty-melting smile and offer it to Becky and Tim, the hosts of the Channel 7 news morning show. “Thanks so much for having me. I’m excited to be here to talk about my venture.”
Becky’s bright-blue eyes dance at me the same way they did when I banged her in the back of the studio after I appeared on the show following my win on Prime Chef a year ago. It's too bad the woman is vapid as hell because she was a decent lay. But I just can't imagine spending time that isn’t horizontal with somebody whose only talents are talking, reading off a teleprompter, and sucking cock.
It’s why I never pursued anything more with her after our fun the last time I visited with the show, and it seems she holds no ill will toward me over it. Something tells me she’d be willing to go for another round in the back when we’re done if I asked. But it’s another blonde who seems to occupy my thoughts lately…
One I certainly can’t be thinking about right now when I’m on live television. This is my time to talk up FURY and start the hype leading to opening.
Becky turns slightly toward me. “Jameson, I am so thrilled that you finally have your own restaurant opening up. I got to taste some of your amazing dishes when you were here last time, and I can only imagine the kind of menu you're putting together for your own space. Want to tell us about it?”
“Of course.” I smile and glance toward the camera like I was instructed. “It's going to be called FURY.”
The co-anchors burst out laughing, and Tim points at me.
“Clever naming.”
I grin at him and shrug. “It seemed fitting. We are going to be mostly modern upscale American and European fare, but, of course, everyone knows I always love to throw a little twist into something to make it my own.”
Becky and Tim both nod their heads vigorously. Tim glances down at the menu I brought with me, examining the dishes.
I only had a second to glance at it when I picked it up from the printer on my way over here this morning, but the menu looked good. The print is fancy enough to look upscale but easy to read in dim lighting. I really wanted to be able to show it on camera, and I'm glad the printer was able to do the rush job so I could have it with me today, but it meant there wasn’t time to really prepare Tim and Becky on what the menu contains.
Tim freezes for a second, glances over at me, then back down at the menu before smiling at the camera. “Well, Jameson, I have to say…you have some pretty interesting dishes on your menu.”
“Oh, definitely. I think the octopus salad is really going to blow people's minds.”
Tim chuckles and hands the menu to Becky. “You mean the ‘octopussy salad?’”
“What?” I jerk my head to the side and find both of them fighting full-on laughter while looking at the menu.
What the fuck is he talking about?
I clear my throat and peek at the camera while trying to keep a smile on my face. “I'm not sure what you mean, Tim.”
That's kind of an inappropriate comment for him to be making on live television. A little lowbrow—even for a man who has a reputation as quite the ladies’ man around NYC. I still wouldn’t expect that to come out of his mouth. Seems like a big risk to his job.
Tim points to the menu, and Becky holds it out to me with a smirk.
She taps a long, manicured nail on it. “I think you have a couple typos on here, Jameson. You might want to get these corrected before the restaurant opens.”
Typos? What the fuck?
There’s no way. I went over this menu a dozen times before I brought it to the printer. It was perfect. I made sure to hand write each item clearly so there wouldn’t be any problem reading it.
I snatch it out of her hand, and the fact that the cameras are running live on me suddenly pushes to the back of my mind. Scanning the menu, my hands tighten on the paper. Each word flashes through my head, and my vision goes red.
Octopussy salad…
Boner-in ribeye…
Spanked pork butt…
Roasted cock with a creamy white sauce…
Roast beef curtains with ass jus…
Leather whipped potatoes…
Motherfucker!
It goes on and on. Almost the entire menu.
These are not typos. This was a deliberate attack. Someone intentionally changed every single menu item.
And there's only one person who could have done it.
Izzy…

EXCERPT

Rachel bends over in front of me and wiggles her ass from side to side before she takes her shot. I bite back a groan and lean against the bench next to hole number eight.
The miniature golf course is crawling with kids at this time on a Friday night, but I never mind coming to play. Seeing Rachel’s competitive side always makes for incredible comedy. It must run in the family because given what she’s told me about Bash and Jameson, it seems they’re all a little overly driven to win. Probably comes from their father. She knows she’ll never beat me, but she insists on coming back for rematches anyway. Then she gets all worked up when she loses, or she tries to cheat and thinks she can get away with it.
I deal with numbers all day, so there’s no way she’s sneaking something like a dropped stroke or altered scorecard past me. I’ve called her out on her shenanigans more times than I can count over the years, yet she still tries. And I still laugh.
Every. Single. Time.
Because she’s just so damn adorable doing it.
This is making the whole “get over her and move on with my life” thing even more difficult. I spent this week trying to get my head on straight about the entire situation. To get myself to a place where I could look her in the eye and tell her I’m not in love with her, if it came to that. But if she asked now, or pushed, I would crumble faster than a weak foundation.
Her ball whizzes through the alligator mouth, past the hole, bounces off the rear bumper, and comes all the way back to us. I lose it and dissolve into an uncontrolled fit of laughter while she stomps her foot and shakes her club at the ball.
“What the heck was that? I had that lined up perfectly!”
I snicker as I shoulder her out of the way to take my shot. “What’s your definition of perfectly?”
She glowers at me. “Okay, Tiger, let’s see what you got.”
I grin as I line up my shot and swing the shitty little putter the course provided. My ball shoots forward perfectly straight through the alligator’s mouth and into the hole with a satisfying plunk. “You mean like that?”
Perfection.
Which means Rach is going to be pissed. She hates losing. At anything. Especially to me. I turn back to her in time to see her scowl again and stomp her foot like the kindergarteners she teaches.
“That’s not fair! You grew up playing golf.”
I walk over to her, wrap my arm around her shoulder, and squeeze her gently. “True, but it’s not like I’ve played much since high school.”
Other than a few rounds with clients, I barely have time to relax, let alone play on a regular basis. That fact doesn’t seem to appease Rachel, though.
“Still, hardly a fair matchup. You played varsity golf, and I learned to putt on a course like this with a damn clown laughing at me trying to get a ball in his mouth.” She slides out from under my arm and goes over to hit her ball again. This time, it heads straight for the hole and drops in. She jumps up and down and pumps her fist in the air. “Killed it this time. That’s two for me and one for you.”
We walk up toward the hole—around the fiberglass alligator and “water hazard”—which is currently inundated with the noise of screaming kids at the surrounding greens and lit by glaring overhead spotlights.
She reaches down to grab both of the balls. Her jeans stretch taut across her ass, and I have to look away.
Too late.
My dick swells, and I surreptitiously reach down and adjust it to a less conspicuous position. Hopefully, no one saw that; otherwise, I’ll have the cops swooping down on me in minutes, accusing me of touching myself around kids like some sick pervert.
I may be a pervert, but I’m not that kind of pervert.

Excerpt

When I reach Rion, I lean forward and rest my elbows on the bar. “What can I get for you, stranger? Your usual?”

I've never seen him drink anything other than IPA, though he sometimes varies his brand.

His lips curl slightly. “I've had another shitty day. I can use something stronger tonight. I'll take the Jack Daniels Single Barrel-Barrel Strength.”

“Damn. 130 proof. You’re not playing around tonight.”

He shakes his head and runs one of his big hands back through his already unruly hair. “I told you…shit day.”

I bite my lip. “Well, if the drink doesn't help, I can think of something else that might improve your mood.”

And mine…

That's about as direct as I can possibly be, and his pupils dilate while he holds my gaze. Heat crackles between us, and I fight the urge to look away from the intensity of the connection.

He leans forward across the bar, resting his elbows and mimicking my position. “Are you propositioning me?”

I can't fight the smile that spreads across my face. “Proposition has such a dirty connotation.”

A smirk plays at his mouth. “Only if you make it dirty.”

“I'm just making an observation.”

He shrugs, and his eyes dip to my mouth. “An observation, huh?”

I nod slowly.

“Well,” he leans even closer, “then I'm going to make an observation of my own.”

“Yeah, what's that?”

“You have absolutely beautiful lips. I haven't been able to stop picturing them wrapped around my cock since the first night I met you.”

Sweet mother of God.

Warmth spreads between my legs, and I shift to rub them together against the dull ache forming. “Well, now. Who is propositioning who?”
