Always forced into the responsible role due to circumstances, Casey never had an opportunity to sow her wild oats and now she wants to—with her to-do list with Abe. 

These two together make me happy, sad, frustrated and happy again. Love them as couple—they're perfect for each other. Add in the crazy that's the Knots and Bolts crew and this series just keeps getting better and better!

Oh, this series has completely stolen my heart. Every trip back to White Pine is better than the last, and I find myself falling in love with these characters and this town ever more.

Moving to White Pine was what Casey Tanner needed to shake the rigid, good girl life she'd been living. After owning up to her mistakes, she's now determined to let loose and have some fun. And fun with sexy firefighter, Abe Cameron is just the ticket. 

Except confirmed bachelor Abe isn't what she's expecting. There's something about Casey—and Casey's kiss—that has him thinking about changing his ways, and about the idea of forever. 

That's not what Casey's signed up for though, and now Abe is faced with the idea that the one may end up as the one that got away....

I basically smiled through this entire book. Even the most simple of sentences, feelings, moments felt like joy to me. And getting to know more about Casey, who's not been the most lovable character in previous books, was wonderful. She could easily have remained somewhat unlikeable but she was the furthest thing from—I sympathized with her, I empathized with her and damn it, I wanted to be her friend. She may feel like an outsider in her circle of new friends, but she's just so human, so real, that I was desperate to see her get her HEA. 

And Abe. Holy smokes! Now, I love me some sexy firefighters and this guy might be one of my all-time faves. He was quiet, strong and made my heart pitter-patter. His gruff exterior, his imperfections made him a wonderful book boyfriend, and when he opened his arms up for Casey to curl into, I wanted to take her place. I think his arms might be my favorite place in one of my favorite fictional small towns.

My only complaint, and it's MINOR, is the more formal language during the dirty times. It may be silly, but I couldn't help a little giggle every time I read the word 'penis' (I mentally replaced it with 'cock', ‘cause that's how I roll), which just proves I'm totally immature. But also, totally in love with Kim Amos' words. Ugh, PLEASE tell me there's going to be more of this series. PLEASE!

I also adore how your friends helped move things along too… Willa and her make-over. Some “inspiration” right there! Can’t wait to catch up more with these fabulous friends in the next one, Every Little Kiss at the end of the month!

Oh, White Pine, are you ready for a new resident? As in, ME? I am thinking about upping sticks and moving to this quaint, crazy little town with its sexy pastor and…wait, what? SEXY PASTOR? Yeah, never thought I’d be writing those words…

Who would have thought a simple typo could potentially ruin a business and a reputation, and bring two people together? That’s what happens when Betty Lindholm’s new sign comes in proclaiming Satan, not Satin, to be at her fabric store…but only if Pastor Randall Sondheim can overcome his personal demons and embrace his feelings for the beautiful Betty.

This book was SO ADORABLE. I really, really enjoyed reading it—and did so with a big smile on my face and in my heart. Who’d have thought a story about a Lutheran pastor and a fabric shop owner called Betty could be so stealthily sexy, and sweetly charming? Okay, maybe sweetly charming makes sense, but dude, the tights-rippin’ pastor? HOT. 

One More Kiss was a super-fast read, a treat for those of us that have read the earlier installments in the White Pine series. It was well-written and I loved the way the author told the story (that prologue! My romantic heart… *sigh*), while still making is accessible to new readers. I can’t wait to get to Casey’s story, but first, I think it’s time I called the movers.

Five years ago, Kieran Callaghan broke Audrey Tanner’s heart when he fled the small town of White Pine without an explanation, or even a proper goodbye. She’s over him, completely, totally, 100%...except when she meets him again, this time as her new boss at the new Harley Davidson dealership, Audrey starts to think maybe she hadn’t completely forgotten the charming, sexy man. 

Kieran never expected to return to White Pine, but coming back makes him realize one very important thing. He’s missed Audrey every day since he left her behind. But the reasons he left still exist and she can’t ever find out. How can they move on when he’s still hiding something and she is determined to make this time ‘no strings attached’? 

I really enjoyed this second chance romance. Like, really. I liked the first book in this series, even though I found the first half of it a little hard to get through at times, but this one I had NO such issues with. From the start, I was taken by these characters and their love re-do. Both of them were absolutely likeable. I admired Audrey’s pluck, her determination to make the most of her situation. I sympathized with her predicament, because really, it must have been difficult to resist sexy Kieran. 

Who, by the way, I am enamored with. Kieran may have come in with a bad attitude, but that kind asshole behavior was (I probably shouldn’t admit this...) a little bit of a turn on. But not as much of a turn on as his desire to start afresh and make it right. There was some level of predictability in this story, but that’s okay. It was well-written and fun, and with just enough angst to keep it interesting. 

Audrey’s sister, Casey, was a thorn in the side of this tale and is to get her own book later this year, and I, for one, am very keen to see how that plays out. She wasn’t always the most sympathetic character here, and that means Kim Amos has a challenge ahead of her. And Then He Kissed Me was a better book than A Kiss to Build a Dream On...I can only hope that trend continues with Every Little Kiss.

Man, oh man, am I a sucker for a good second chance romance. And Then He Kissed Me is a GREAT one.

Five years ago, Audrey Tanner let down her guard and fell in into the arms of a hot, biker bad boy she met at the annual White Pine Asparagus Festival. Together two weeks, Audrey was convinced she was in love with Kieran Callaghan—that he was “The One” for her to spend her life with, until he left her with nothing but a post-it note goodbye. 

Fast forward five years. Audrey finds herself in quite a predicament and accepts a job as a showroom model at the new Harley Davidson showroom in town. Imagine her surprise when she comes face-to-face with her new boss, none other than Kieran Callaghan. But she’s not willing to forgive and forget; regardless of her body’s reaction to him, her heart can’t take it…or maybe it can. Maybe it can finally be healed by the only man she’s truly loved.

Oh Kieran. Now a corporate hottie with a big side helping of bad boy tendencies, he fights his feelings for Audrey, but she proves irresistible. *Sigh* Audrey has been living the single life for the past five years. Fulfilled by her teaching position and coaching the girl’s track team, Audrey’s life is easy, if not a little bit boring. Once she’s forced out of her comfort zone and onto the Harley showroom floor, I love how she finally starts to gain confidence in herself—especially when she begins putting some of the people who desperately need it in their place. But the best parts of the book are when Audrey and Kieran are together. Neither is willing to back down and when they finally fight for each other, wow do the sparks fly!

I really wanted to love A Kiss to Build a Dream On. Some of my favorite books are second chance romances, but this one just didn’t do it for me—well, at least the first half of it. I found myself waiting to get to the “good part” the part where Willa and Burk and the rest of the characters “talked” to each other and what happened to get them to put the past behind them. Early in the book, there was a lot of internal monologue that easily could have be put to dialogue and made the book that much richer. 

Now, the second half of the book was fantastic. Willa, Burk, Audrey, Betty, Anna, Stephanie and Pastor Sondheim really developed as characters and the story took off.  Loved the interactions with the women at Betty’s shop and I can’t wait to read Audrey’s story in the next book.

Sweet, a little bit sexy, and very easy to read. This book is just one of those books that, while it doesn't capture and entrance you, fills your hours with gentle smiles and some good, tingly feels. 

Burk Olmstead never expected to see Willa Masterson again. Certainly not after more than a decade, and certainly not to lay claim to the house he's been taking care of since she split town. Then again, Willa Masterson never expected to come back to her hometown, tail between her legs, with only one goal -- to turn her family's rundown old house into a fabulous new B&B. Of course, she didn't plan on the contractor being her ex-flame, or that their passion for each would not be dulled by all the years apart. 

Kim Amos has put together a very cute, quite charming little book. I enjoyed the read, although I must admit, a handful of days after finishing it, I am struggling to remember the little things. A Kiss to Build a Dream On is a book I don't regret reading, liked well enough at the time I was immersed in it, but didn't leave an overly-lasting impression. 

Having said that, there are some things I DO recall about this book... I struggled through the easy stages, because I disliked Willa's willfulness and her lofty demeanor, and because I was annoyed at Burk's selfish underhandedness. However, both of those characters grew on me. Willa was willing to learn from her mistakes and attempt to put right the past, and Burk was willing to let go of a long-held dream for something bigger. I may have taken to about 60% for me to start to appreciate them, and it may have taken to about 69% *snickers* to get to the really good sex, but I would say it was definitely worth the wait. 

I am intrigued, now, to see what comes next for this series. The set-up for the second book, focusing on Audrey, one of Willa's sweet friends, was buried in there and peaked my interest enough to plan to pick up more from this author.
