Weddings make me uncomfortable. They just remind me of my own caged nightmare.

I was a fan of weddings, until I was forced into one with one of the most despicable human beings I’ve ever met.

My wife is a vulture in disguise. She hovers over her prey waiting for the right moment to suck the last bit of life out of their soul. The worst part? She seems to enjoy it.

But I swear fate loves to f*** with me. The minute I leave for a moment of peace, I am summoned back to my father’s bedside.

And that’s when I learned my arranged marriage wasn’t even the worst part. Yes, my dad made the deal with the devil…who also happens to be my father-in-law.

But you know who’s more dangerous than the devil? His daughter…and I’m about to find out how evil she truly is.

As she finishes up her nursing degree, she’s ready to take that next step, but sometimes life has other plans.

Chris Anderson has always been the biggest douche bag, until circumstances cause Haddie to look at him in a different light. On a night when she was there for him, she made the biggest mistake—sleeping with her brother’s best friend. To her horror he doesn’t remember any of it.

Six weeks later and two pink lines, and everything changes.

Life has thrown Haddie a curveball, but she’s bound and determined to finish school and have her baby, even while the father of her child fights his demons.

Chris Anderson has always loved things to excess—women, booze, and lately…drugs. When a devastating diagnosis rocks his family’s world, the excess gets worse. He’s spiraling and he can’t seem to stop.

He hits rock bottom when he learns he knocked up his best friend’s baby sister when he was on a bender. Chris decides he needs help and so he heads to California for treatment. For a whole year he stays gone, working on his sobriety, but when he comes back, he’s healthier than ever.

As he gets to know his baby girl, he develops feelings for Haddie. First its friendship, but then it turns into something neither of them expected…love.

When Chris begins to doubt himself will he succumb to his demons or will he fight like hell to beat them?

EXCERPT

“You good?” he asked over the sound of the Rolling Stones playing on the speakers.
“Yeah.” She stepped closer. The scent of his freshly smoked cigarette practically slapped her in the face, but she pushed it aside. There were more pressing matters. “I’m missing something.”
A cocky half smile spread on his face as he wrapped an arm around her waist. “Oh? What is that?” He lead her deeper into the bar. “Your anal virginity?”
Her stomach fluttered.
“Ass.” She laughed nervously and slapped his shoulder.
“Yes, it’s quite nice.” He chuckled with her.
“Oh my god!” She brought her hands up and covered her face in exasperation, scrubbing for a second and then dropping them. “I meant my panties.”
She hadn’t realized she said it so loud. The snorts and looks from those around her only added to the embarrassment.
He laughed harder and pulled her closer. “I told you they were a privilege,” he whispered in her ear. “You lost that privilege.”
Her mouth fell open. He couldn’t be serious. She was in a skirt, in public, and this was not a play space. This was real life. Her gaze darted around, and for a second she felt like everyone around them knew. They knew what she and Dash had done, and they knew now she was panty-less.
“Hey.” Dash cupped her face with his hands. “Hey. Come back.”
The tender tone starkly contrasted his deeper, dominant one, and the butterflies in her heart fluttered far too emphatically for her liking.
If her mouth hadn’t been so dry, she would have swallowed down her panic. Scanning his gray eyes for answers, she couldn’t find words. He couldn’t be serious.
“This is public play,” he reminded her and rested his forehead on hers. “You said you were into this.”
“I never,” she started. “I never—this isn’t what—” This wasn’t what she had meant. She’d meant play parties. She’d meant kink events. This was a completely different sort of head trip.
He nodded, bringing her focus back to him. He dipped down and placed a gentle kiss on her lips. With his arms wrapped around her, his affections disarmed her almost as much as the tone he’d used to get her attention.
Once he broke the kiss, he met her gaze. “Tell me your color.”
Color? He wanted a color. Shit. They were still playing. The stop-light system still applied. Her color. What was her color?
“Yellow.” She was still turned on as all get out, but conflicted about being panty-less in public. This wasn’t a designated play place.
He grinned. “Good. We still have some dinner to eat.”
“Can I get a drink?” she asked.
“This is a bar.” He snickered. “Of course.”

EXCERPT

Dash had planned to take Liz to a cute Italian restaurant with low lighting and a romantic atmosphere. He’d wanted them to have a normal vanilla evening of getting to know one another. His intentions were pure. Drumming his fingers on the steering wheel of his truck, he bopped his head to the beat of Black Betty by Ram Jam, doing his best to hide the disappointment in himself. She’d deserved a better date—first date.
But she answered the door in that threadbare robe, wearing the hottest fucking bra and panty set he’d ever seen. He was just a man, and not a good one at that. His little vixen knew exactly what she’d done, and he was nothing if not accommodating with his partners. So, he’d come up with something on the fly.
And fly they did if he wanted to get any sort of food in her. The speed limits on these roads were merely a suggestion this time of night anyway, right?
Unfortunately, the time it took to get her prepped, dressed, and for her to do whatever it was she did with her hair, meant that their choices for dinner dwindled. He wanted to take her somewhere nicer, but the Broken Spoke seemed their only option now.
Owned by the club, he knew he’d get no flack for wanting food this late. It also meant his brothers would be there. Pulling up to the Spoke in a cage, instead of his Road King, meant his brothers would notice.
Hell, they’d notice because Liz was a fucking hot redhead. It didn’t matter what he drove to get there. Blondes were a dime a dozen, but fiery bitches—they were hard to come by. Add to it, he didn’t have her on his bike—they’d think he wasn’t serious about her. Was he?
Fuck him running. He normally prided himself on his ability to plan. He swerved to hit yet another pothole just to hear her groan as the plug shifted in her ass, and to prove to himself that yes, he did in fact plan shit. But he realized he may have made the wrong decision when it came to which vehicle he’d chosen. Taking her to the Spoke meant exposing her to the club.
Sure, she’d been at the funeral, but with all the people there, she was written off as just another citizen. Showing up at the Spoke with him—yeah, they’d notice. Not to mention, she’d notice the colors. They hadn’t exactly spoken about his club involvement. He screwed himself for sure.
With his hand on her thigh, he felt the muscles in her leg tightening as she squeezed. It sparked a grin. The plug had worked. Since she wasn’t all that experienced with ass play, he knew he’d have to get it out soon. Which was why he’d insisted on her bringing a large purse.
They pulled into the half-paved and half-gravel lot. He immediately counted the bikes and noted the prospect at the door. Romeo’s and Mittens’ bikes stood out against the rest. Shouldn’t his brothers be on their way home? Too late to turn back now.
“Sorry it’s not a nicer place.” He patted her leg. “Plans had to be adjusted.” He grinned because he wasn’t about to apologize for why they’d had to adjust plans. “Next time.”
Her pale blue eyes rimmed with arousal from having hit every bump on the way there. Though, he suspected there was a post-orgasmic glow there as well. It looked good on her, and the half chub in his pants persisted.
“I’m sure it’s fine.” A sultry smile spread across her lips.
That did nothing to ease the strain in his jeans. Truly a minx, he’d never be convinced she didn’t know exactly what she did to him.

EXCERPT

A fling, a moment of weakness, a fond memory, those were the things Jacob Karolsson was supposed to be. He was supposed to stay in her goddamn fantasy and in fucking Montana.
Okay, one time. There was one time she’d allow him into Ohio. The rally. She’d concede that. He could come for the rally and she would avoid it like the plague. It shouldn’t be too hard. It was good to have a plan.
“You got any Jameson back there?” he asked once the crowd practically parted for him to walk to the bar. The whiteness of his teeth was a stark contrast to his dark beard as he put his elbows on the bar top, smiled, and leaned over it.
Frozen in place, Sparrow looked him over as though she wasn’t sure he was real. Enforcer. Blinking at him, she realized he’d gotten an officer position. When her gaze made it to his light blue eyes, she stuffed the lollipop in her mouth.
Jesus Christ those eyes.
Something jabbed her in the side, and the trance was broken. The hum of conversation over Aerosmith rushed to her ears, and she turned to see Kimber holding a bottle of Jameson, and peering at her questionably. Caught staring at him like a high school girl with a crush. Could she be any more pathetic?
Taking it, she offered a smile to Kimber first and then looked to Jacob. Still grinning, he seemed to have added a bit of smugness to it. Clearing her throat, she half-filled a lowball glass and placed it on a napkin for him.
Placing a twenty on the bar, he reached for his glass, allowing his digits to graze hers. Fire danced up her fingers, over her hand, and through her arm. She should have yanked her hand back. She should have looked away from him. She shouldn’t have turned into a puddle where she stood.
“Thank you,” he mouthed before pulling the glass away from her and bringing it to his lips.
Could someone sip whiskey sexily? Was it possible? It shouldn’t be. As much as she wanted to fan herself, she couldn’t. So, she did the next best thing. “You got this?” She may have asked Kimber the question, but she had no intention of staying for the answer.
“No! Wait, I…” Kimber’s voice trailed off as Sparrow made her way out the door of the bar. Dick move. She knew it, but if the woman knew what the hell it was about, she’d understand. Anyone who had any inkling of what had gone on between Sparrow and Jacob would understand why she’d just fled the bar.
The cool Ohio air chilled her heated skin as she walked along the side of the cinderblock building, heading for the back parking lot. She just needed to walk to her car and to drive away from all of it. It was too real.
Her car. Fuck. She didn’t have her car.
As the realization hit, she turned, and her back pressed against the bricks. Closing her eyes, her head hit the wall. She needed to figure out a way to handle these little pop-ups.
“I’m going to have to buy you a new shirt.” The deep timbre of his voice heated her just as much as the memory of his touch did.
“Why are you here?” she demanded without looking. The accusation in her tone wasn’t on purpose, but it was too late now. It’d been said.
The heat of his body close to hers tickled her skin. She might as well have been set on fire at the feel of his hands on her face. Before she could stop herself, she nuzzled into his palm. He made her lose her fucking head with the slightest of touches.
“Do you mean Ohio or the bar?” he whispered in her ear when he brushed his bearded cheek against hers. It looked coarse, but his facial hair was impossibly soft. The feel of it had her face tingling as much as his breath along her neck.
