Title: Home Again
Series: Home Collection #1
Author: Cardeno C.
Release Date: February 7, 2015

Imposing, temperamental Noah Forman wakes up in a hospital and can’t remember how he got there. He holds it together, taking comfort in the fact that the man he has loved since childhood is on the way. But when his one and only finally arrives, Noah is horrified to discover that he doesn’t remember anything from the past three years.

Loyal, serious Clark Lehman built a life around the person who insisted from their first meeting that they were meant to be together. Now, years later, two men whose love has never faltered must relive their most treasured and most painful moments in order to recover lost memories and secure their future.

Oh, wow, I just LOVED this book! Home Again by Cardeno C was perfect. The story was unique, sweet, sexy and full of love. This was pretty much everything I could want in a book, down to the dual points of view and scenes switching back from the past to the present. Sometimes the use of a dual timeline will get confusing and ruin a book, but that was not the case with Home Again. The story unfolds wonderfully, with just the right amount of intrigue and leaving you wanting more.  I actually could not put this book down!

While this is a shorter book, it felt fulfilled and complete. This is mostly because of Clarke and Noah, and their amazing relationship. Clarke is older, and has a penchant for taking care of Noah. Noah was very young when they met, but he knew what he wanted and was willing to wait for it to happen.

You can’t help but fall for the strong, supportive Clarke and the headstrong, overprotective Noah. Not only is the sizzling chemistry between the two insanely hot, so is Noah’s alpha side. We are talking steamy, sweaty, panty melting sex. In addition, Home Again is filled to the brim with swoons, so keep the smelling salts and a fan handy! The way they loved was intense… it covered time and space. They loved through loss, change, growth and life. Home Again covers all the bases, leaving you satisfied and looking for the next book!

Title: He Completes Me
Series: Home Collection #2
Author: Cardeno C.
Release Date: February 7, 2015

Not even his mother’s funeral can convince self-proclaimed party boy Zach Johnson to tone down his snark or think about settling down. He is who he is, and he refuses to change for anyone. When straight-laced, compassionate Aaron Paulson claims he’s falling for him, Zach is certain Aaron sees him as another project, one more lost soul for the idealistic Aaron to save. But Zach doesn’t need to be fixed and he refuses to be with someone who sees him as broken.

Patience is one of Aaron’s many virtues. He has waited years for a man who can share his heart and complete his life and he insists Zach is the one. Pride, fear, and old hurts wither in the wake of Aaron’s adoring loyalty, and as Zach reevaluates his perceptions of love and family, he finds himself tempted to believe in the impossible: a happily-ever-after.

He Completes Me, the second book in Cardeno C’s Home series, is a wonderful addition to a great series. While I did not think it was as strong as Home Again, I still loved Zach and Aaron. It can be read as a standalone, though we do get to see another side of Clarke, which was a pleasure. In a way He Completes Me is more straightforward – it does not have the dual point of view or jumps in time from the first book – but that works for these characters.

If possible, the sex is even hotter and the relationship is still gorgeously gooey. The love is palpable, and absolutely incredible. Zach is a confirmed bachelor, likes to be single and sample the many goods on offer. Aaron is the complete opposite, and has been waiting to fall in love and find the right person with which to settle down. He Completes Me is told through Zach’s eyes, and his evolution throughout the book is beautiful to witness. I did feel a bit disconnected from Aaron as you don’t get to see inside his head, but I fell in love with him along with Zach.

Personally, I thought the heavier issues introduced were glossed over in favor for the fluff of the relationship, and there could have been more plot and character development in certain areas. Also, the first half of the book was excellent, but the second half felt too mundane and fell a bit short. Overall, He Completes Me is a fun, sexy, and overall very enjoyable read.

Title: Where He Ends & I Begin
Series: Home Collection #3
Author: Cardeno C.
Release Date: February 7, 2015

Aggressive, physical, and brave, Jake Owens is a small town football hero turned big city cop who passes his time with meaningless encounters believing he can’t have who he really wants: Nate Richardson, his best friend since before forever. Thoughtful, quiet, and kind, Nate is a brilliant doctor who has always known who he is and has never been able to shake his crush on loyal, courageous, straight Jake.

After a passionate night together, Nate realizes Jake isn’t as straight as he assumed, but he worries that what they shared was a fluke, a result of too much closeness for too long. For Jake, the question isn’t how they ended up in bed together because he has always known that Nate holds his heart, it’s how he’ll convince Nate that he wants and needs to stay there.

Cardeno C adds another fabulous book to the Home series with Where He Ends and I Begin. I honestly have not read a book with a relationship like the one between Nate and Jake. Their mothers were best friends who lived next door to each other and planned to have children at the same time. Nate and Jake were destined to be best friends, the love and co-dependency that came with the relationship was simply amazing.

“All these years of being two halves of a whole. It’s nice to finally be able to put the two pieces together.”

Not only are Nate and Jake head-over-heels in love with each other, they completely rely on one another. In real life this might seem absurd, two people that simply are not fully themselves without the other person, but somehow it makes this book and this relationship that much more intense. And on the topic of intense – the sex is incredible, hot and totally perfect! Did I mention that this also happens to be a jock & nerd romance?! Seriously… two hot guys, one incredibly smart, the other incredibly built, are you starting to get how fantastic this book is?

One thing to note is that the book is in dual POVs, and that sometimes they overlap. I found this confusing at first as it seemed the book was backtracking, but it makes complete sense for a couple who are both equals and incredibly reliant on each other to give the same scene from both perspectives.

“I understand, Nate. I get the concept of infinity. It's like the two of us, like our friendship. No end, no limit. We're forever. That's infinity, right?”

Where He Ends and I Begin was a wonderful, heartwarming, completely refreshing read!
