Review and Giveaway - Tapping the Billionaire by Max Monroe

Title: Tapping the Billionaire
Series: Bad Boy Billionaires #1
Author: Max Monroe
Release Date: April 25, 2016

A secret duo of romance authors team up under the pseudonym Max Monroe to bring you a sexy, laugh-out-loud new series. Are you ready to meet the Billionaire Bad Boys

Blind dates? Online dating profiles? Been there, done that.

Georgia Cummings has zero luck with dating, and the era of the internet is not her friend.
No matter how fast she runs, how many corners she turns, she can’t find her way out of this weird, alternate universe where men think dick pics are a replacement for small talk and getting to know a girl. One more crotch selfie and she might write men off for good…

But why can’t she stop fantasizing about him?

Kline Brooks is the quintessential billionaire bad boy—dark, styled, short hair, muscles for days, and a panty-dropping smile.
Except—he isn’t.

As his employee, he won’t touch her with a ten foot pole.
But she won’t touch him either.

Too bad their hormones missed the memo.

Disclaimer:
If you’re the type of woman who prefers crotch selfies to small talk, this book isn’t for you.

If you enjoy random men you’ve never met filling up your inbox with dirty words and porn—for reasons focused more towards diddling your donut than laughing at the absurdity—this book isn’t for you.

If you HATE laughing, this book isn’t for you.

If you want your male leads to grunt, thrust like jack rabbits, and have one-track minds that prefer a nice pair of tits to brains every hour of every day for the rest of forever, well, then, this book still isn’t for you.

But.

If you enjoy a good swoon, a hearty laugh, witty banter, and some hot as f*@% f*@%ing, then consider Georgia Cummings your Girl Friday and Kline Brooks your next irresistible book boyfriend.

The question isn’t ‘who is Max Monroe?’, but rather 'how long until I can have another book written by them in my hands?' And I hope to the heavens above the answer is soon.

Really fucking soon.

This book, you guys. This book is ALL THE THINGS and more. I don’t even know if I can explain it without dissolving into a puddle of swoons and flails and fangirl love for this mystery author(s), but I’m going to try.

Because I really, really, really want everyone to read Tapping the Billionaire. There’s a disclaimer on it, and it’s 100% accurate—

If you enjoy a good swoon, a hearty laugh, witty banter, and some hot as f*@% f*@%ing, then consider Georgia Cummings your Girl Friday and Kline Brooks your next irresistible book boyfriend.

—Yup, all spot-on true. Especially, but not limited—in any way shape or form—to, that epilogue

Georgie and Kline are fictional magic. Sassy and smart, funny and fucking adorable, and never, ever what you expect them to be. This is NO ordinary billionaire book. If you’re looking for a cliché, move along—or, you know what, don’t. Stop right here, and gift yourself with a billionaire that is so unexpectedly perfect, you’ll never want to go back.

I never want to go back. Or, wait…maybe I do. I want to go back to the start of this amazing book, and read it ALL OVER AGAIN. On repeat. Until the next book in the Bad Boy Billionaires series comes out, and I can fall a little more in love with Thatch.

Because I’m already seven-eighths of the way in love with him. And Wes. Cassie. Bob and Maureen. The Cummings’. Even Dean. And I’m definitely in fully-fledged, banner-behind-an-airplane-declaring-all-my-epic-feels love with Kline and Georgia.

Big-Dicked Brooks and Benny are the ULTIMATE romance couple, and I have serious #RelationshipGoals happening over here. I want ALL my romance couplings to be as crazily, sexily, wonderfully perfect as they were (my real-life ones, too, TBH). And unless the answer to my question really and truly is soon, then I guess I’ll have to just enjoy them again—a little more, for a little longer…
~ Review by Beth

—Two established romance authors join forces to bring you more books and stuff. Together.—

Two men, two women, or, perhaps, one of each. Everyone is asking—Who is Max Monroe?

Hell, we could even be Colleen Hoover.

You decide.

Disclaimer: Yeah, we’re not Colleen Hoover.

Review - Ginger's Heart by Katy Regnery

Title: Ginger’s Heart
Series: A Modern Fairytale
Author: Katy Regnery
Release Date: March 22, 2016

Once upon a time there were two cousins:
one golden like the sun,
one dark like midnight,
one a protector,
one a predator,
one a Woodsman
and
one a Wolf…
both owning equal,
but different,
parts of a little girl’s heart.

In this modern retelling of "Little Red Riding Hood," the woodsman and the wolf are cousins, and Little Red is the girl with whom they both fall in love.

Beautiful Ginger McHuid, daughter of Kentucky's premiere horse breeder, grows up on her family farm, best friends with Cain Wolfram, the son of her father's Stallion Manager, and Cain's cousin, Josiah Woodman, son of a local banker. Throughout their happy childhood, the three are inseparable friends, but as they mature into adults, complicated feelings threaten to destroy their long history of friendship and love.

Ginger’s Heart

*****

This is a standalone novel inspired by Little Red Riding Hood. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to profanity and very strong sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

The first thing you should know is that there is no way on God’s green earth that I’m going to be able to write a review that does this book justice...

I don’t even know where to start. My heart just went on this epic journey, and it has the bruises and scars to show it. But it’s so unbelievably full right now; brimming with this unrestrained joy, this beautiful, achy happiness.

This story is a modernized adaptation of a fairytale (Little Red Riding Hood), but it’s no copycat story. It stands completely on its own—fresh, new and completely captivating. By turns, my heart my whole body ached, my heart raced, I laughed, and I cried. I sat breathlessly as the love story unfolded, completely pulled into the story, loving each character fiercely—which means the highs were euphoric and the lows…well, the lows explain a lot about those bruises and scars.

Let’s talk about the love triangle for a moment. I don’t like love triangles. I was a little nervous going into this book featuring a love triangle. I was forced to trust the author—which was not a hardship exactly because I’m a loyal reader, and I did trust that she’d handle my heart with care (mostly)—but it still felt like uncomfortable territory. It paid off, though. I was not disappointed. There is a love triangle. But it’s not…gross. I wasn’t left feeling badly for anyone. I loved them all, each one of them for different reasons, at different times. And at the end of the book, I still loved them all just as much.

This is not the first time Ms. Regnery has worked her voodoo magic on me, but the bottom line is, please don’t fear the triangle. It is angsty, and emotional, and sometimes heartbreaking—but it is executed with a loving hand and a gentle touch and, in the end, it just completely works.

This story is so beautifully written that I found myself reading passages twice, three times, more, and then highlighting them to come back to later. The storytelling is flawless. In a nutshell? Ginger’s Heart is just exquisite. Classic. Timeless. Nearly perfect. I cannot begin to do it justice, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Review - Sometimes, Forever by Len Webster

Title: Sometimes, Forever
Series: Sometimes Moments #2
Author: Len Webster
Release Date: March 22, 2016

One job ad,
One lavender delivery,
One out of the blue laugh…
Would change his life forever.

Cooper Hepburn is tired of the suburbs. Tired of his mother’s constant nagging for him to settle down, tired of his sisters and tired of his boring career. The last thing Cooper wants is to get married and have children. He needs an escape from suburbs living, and coming across a job ad at a lavender farm in the middle of country Victoria is his answer. Deciding to let fate take control, Cooper applies, hoping the small tourist town of Daylesford is the change he seeks.

Little does Cooper know that one delivery to The Spencer-Reid will change his life in a single moment.

The very moment he meets the beautiful hotel owner.

Peyton Spencer.

The woman that would become so much more than just his sometimes.

*This is not a standalone. Sometimes, Forever is the sequel to the bestselling novel, Sometimes Moments.

Sometimes, Forever is told through Cooper Hepburn's POV; “Lavender Boy” and how he met his “Sometimes Forever” Peyton Spencer... Not only was it amazingly beautiful, but it was also real, raw, emotional and so, so swoonworthy!

We get a bit of what brought Cooper into Peyton's life, a bit of his family, but also the moment he knew Peyton was his forever. It may feel like it's the same story as Sometimes Moments but it's not, believe me! It's so much more than I expected.

Getting to see how Cooper helped Peyton open up was just beautiful! I loved seeing their friendship blossom, and how Cooper helped her to see that it was possible for her to love again. Seeing Cooper's love for her was just breathtaking! Yes, they both had issues, especially Peyton, but Cooper accepts her and helps her to see that it's okay!

And, let me say, the words right before each chapter just had me sighing and swooning and falling more in love with Cooper. Ms. Webster, Thank You for such an amazing and beautiful story of friendship, love, loss, forgiveness, living and loving again!

Peyton and Cooper have captured my heart and will forever hold a piece of it!

#1 SOMETIMES MOMENTS

One blink,
One breath of air,
One moment in time ...
Could change your life forever.

Growing up, Peyton Spencer fell in love with the boy across the road, Callum Reid. As the years went by, it only made sense that they would wind up being completely and utterly infatuated with each other. That was, until the morning Peyton wakes up to find Callum packing up and leaving the small town they lived in. Left heartbroken and with no explanation, Peyton spends the next four years of her life without him, ensuring they never cross paths again.

At seventeen and months after Callum leaves her, Peyton buries her parents—feeling more alone than ever before. Now at twenty-one, she’s inherited the family hotel, The Spencer-Dayle. Just when she thinks life couldn’t get more complicated, the one person that shattered her heart, soul and belief returns. For Peyton, his return opens up all her old wounds and resurfaces the memories she’s tried to forget.

He’s not the same boy she once fell in love with. He’s guarded and keeps secrets close to him. Peyton knows her life will begin to unravel.Untold truths will finally come to light. Whether or not Peyton wants to hear it, the truth will undoubtedly break her heart all over again.

Oh, this story right here had me crying like a baby. I had no idea how much this was going to affect me and I'm just at a loss for words, and still in tears!

Peyton Spencer has loved her best friend, Callum Reid, since she can remember, but she never acted on it. Until one night, when she got the green light from Callum... The only thing is, just when she thought her HEA was going to begin, it actually ended.

Callum has loved Peyton since he can remember too, yet due to a secret he keeps from her, he leaves and breaks her heart. I cannot express how pissed off I was at him for doing that to her!! And, to be honest, I wanted to sucker punch him for being such an ass...But then, I discovered his reasoning—and it literally sucker punched me instead!

Now, the ending itself to me was beautiful and had me pumping my fist saying “Oh My Goodness” and “No Freaking Way!!!!” And, at that moment, I felt lighter and I felt like there was hope after all!

I'm not going to give away more about this heart-wrenching story, just know that you will be smiling, crying, laughing, cussing and crying some more!! This affected me even more because someone dear to me is going through something similar. Have lots of Kleenex next to you because you will cry your eyes out. Amazing.

Review - Midnight Lily by Mia Sheridan

Title: Midnight Lily
Author: Mia Sheridan
Release Date: March 1, 2016

Holden Scott is the prince of professional football. At least he was before he lost it all . . . or more to the point, before he threw it all away. Now he's out of a job, out of the public's good graces, and perhaps just a little out of his mind. So when a friend offers up his remote lodge in the wilds of Colorado, giving Holden some time away to get his life back on track, he can hardly say no. The last thing he expects is to see a beautiful girl in the woods—one wearing a white, lace dress who appears in the moonlight, and leaves no footprints behind. Is she a dream? A ghost? A product of his muddled imagination? Or something entirely different?

Midnight Lily is the haunting love story of two lost souls reaching for each other in the dark. A tale of healing, acceptance, and the worlds we create to protect our own hearts. It is a story of being lost, of being found, and of being in the place between.

THIS IS A STAND-ALONE SIGN OF LOVE NOVEL, INSPIRED BY VIRGO. Non-Paranormal, New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

I was a little afraid of this book.

Afraid of what it was going to do to my heart. In fact, I read the entire first half with my heart in my throat. Uneasy. Waiting for the other shoe to drop. My brain constantly trying to prepare itself by coming up with possible twists this book was could take, hoping that if I was prepared enough and saw it coming, it wouldn't hurt so much.

I knew it was going to hurt. And make me fall in love. Also, it was probably going to be amazing. But definitely not without making me hurt first—I didn't know how, or why, or when—so I just tried my best to prepare for impact.

When it came, I wasn't prepared. I'm not sure anything could have prepared me for the wonder that is this book.

Oh, my heart.

It hurt.
And then it soared.
And now it has absolutely no idea what to do with itself, because no amount of mental (or emotional) preparation could have prepared me for what this book would do to it. My mind is still processing while my heart tries to get a hold of itself.

Here are the things that you should know:

Midnight Lily is beautifully written. It sometimes felt like reading art. Like the characters and the dialogue and the twists and turns were so flawlessly written that, even when my mind was having trouble keeping up, my heart was fully wrapped up in the emotional intensity of this story.

This is one of the most unique romances I’ve ever read. It was heartbreaking and yet, redemptive. It was haunting and intense, yet littered with lighthearted banter and swoony moments. It completely messed with my head while filling my heart to bursting. There are no easy, blanket adjectives to describe how this story made me feel. I felt everything, and it was amazing.
~ Review by Shelly

WOW and What the Hell? were my last words after reading Midnight Lily's final page. I stayed up late because I. Had. To. Know. What. Happened and, needless to say, I was blown away. I'm not even going to lie, I kept tapping my tablet thinking there was more to it...but when there wasn’t, sadness engulfed my heart.

To be honest, I'm still speechless and awestruck on what an unbelievable story Mia Sheridan has graced us with, and I just cannot express what this book has done to my heart! I can say that, without a doubt in my mind, I have never read a story like this—and I seriously doubt I ever will again. There was so much to this story that at times I asked myself, ‘Wait, did I just read that?’ I had to go back to re-read it just to make sure I had read it!

I refuse to spoil this amazing story for you, so all I will say is that this book is a MUST READ!!! Go in with a clear head, open mind and heart, and with plenty of time because once you start, you will not want to stop until you get to the end. And even after that you will PM Mia Sheridan, asking her to please hurry up with more on Midnight Lily. In my opinion this book is worth 6 stars—and more.

Ms. Sheridan, please keep sharing your unbelievably amazing stories with us, because we will NEVER get enough of you!
