Oh baby, I couldn't wait to get my paws all over Ryder Knox again! The prequel totally whetted my appetite for more of this dirty talking, sexy as hell bad ass. In the follow up to Ryder, Jani Kay's book Two Worlds Colliding was exactly what I needed.

Jade is a princess bitch, as Ryder likes to call her, she comes from a very privileged background and knows she has no business lusting over bad boy Ryder. When the two of them are together the sparks don't just fly, they combust! Oh my word, Jani knows how to write some scorching sex scenes. Ryder's dirty talking mouth is so damn sexy.

Jade is not just a rich princess, she also has a few demons that haunt her past. With her brother, the biker hating cop, will she be able to have a relationshp with Ryder and be in Old Lady in his club? Will her brother tear them apart?

We also get a glimpse of some of the folks from Jani Kay's Lost in France, the first book in the Firebird Trilogy.

The story picks up where Ryder left off. In order to really appreciate the continuation of this book, I do suggest you read the prequel first. There is a lot on Ryder's back story in that novella. I really look forward to reading more from the Scorpion Stinger MC. There are a lot of great supporting characters in the book that I hope get their stories told. I am satisfied with the way this story wrapped, but, I want more!!

Sigh....Ryder.  That dirty talking biker boy sure knows how to tie himself to your heart.  Not only will he melt your panties with all his dirty talk, but he will melt your heart, when he finally opens up.  I can't wait for more Ryder and Jade, boy when those two come together it's so major explosions good and bad.  I would have liked for it to be longer and not leave me dyin to know what comes next but I think the ending was beautiful.  I just know the next book is going to be packed to the brim with the drama.

Badass bikers in MCs are not my faves. I usually avoid MC series because they are often very violent. Since I enjoyed Open Your Eyes and Lost In France (Firebird series) by Jani Kay, I was willing to read this one. I love that Rebecca and Max from Lost In France were included as Max is Ryder's brother and Rebecca is Jade's cousin.

 

Ryder curses a lot and is quite crude, but his huge heart is hooked on Jade. She is the daughter of rich parents and her brother, Harrison, is a cop and has his own reasons for hating MCs and wanting to arrest and shut all of them down. Ryder was rescued by Cobra and the Scorpio Stinger MCs, so his loyalty to the MC is warranted. This sets up the collision of their worlds.

 

Ryder got my heart because he is so protective and such a hot lover. Jade is her feisty, independent self and has learned to view Ryder as an equal. Harrison bans Jade from seeing Ryder, and Cobra has banned Jade and her cousin Lexi from the MC. The tension is at a high and I expect that an all out war between the cops and MC is bound to happen. The rest of the series is going to be explosive.

 

I enjoyed this erotic romance. As I read more, I got so involved and absorbed in it. By the end, I wanted and needed more of the series. Well done, Jani! Ryder and Jade do get an HEA ... for the moment.

She is a voracious reader and would spend her last dollar on a book - always fascinated that for the mere price of a book, she can escape her world for a while and see through someone else's eyes.

I loved that Kevin and Jack were opposites romantically and sexually. Jack was dominant and introduced Elizabeth to BDSM. Kevin took her dancing and allowed her to take the lead at times.  The sex scenes sizzled… Greg even ‘gave her permission’ to sow her wild oats! But will she ‘ditch the dream’ for her NYC life or reclaim her dream and return to the safety of her old life?

 

The POV of Greg, Jack, and Kevin are included at the end of some of the chapters, which is different than other books I’ve read. It’s nice to have the other viewpoints, though the author doesn’t indicate in an obvious way that it is another POV. I liked that each guy had a different nickname for Elizabeth. Greg called her ‘Bets’ (annoying to me); Kevin called her ‘Lizzie’ (better); and Jack called her Beth (okay). Greg’s initial whining texts and voice mails did not endear me to him. I’d have left him! Her willingness to explore her sexuality was terrific. Her decision at the end threw me in a tailspin. I wasn’t sure how I felt until I found out that this is book 1 in the Dream series! I love that there is more to Elizabeth’s story… Next up Not In My Wildest Dreams (Jack’s story).

In Ditching the Dream, I liked Jack a lot. I fell in love with Jack in this book. The ending of DTD tore me up and frustrated me. But any upset or surprise from it was explained and satisfied... COMPLETELY!

This book had my attention at the prologue.

"But his heart ached. A chunk had been ripped out leaving a gaping hole that continued to bleed, so he continued to drink."

I could feel Jack's pain and loss! This is Jack's story, and it is fascinating. From the small town in Colorado to his 'discovery' by Ford Models to NYC in the late 70's to present day, Isabelle Peterson weaves a great storyline. She reveals behind the scenes in the modeling industry, Jack's first love, his relationship with Becca, and how he became a Dom/Switch.

Wow! I couldn't put it down. Parts from DTD were included, this time from his POV. And by the time Jack's plane landed in Napa, it was ON! Such a terrific sequel to Ditching the Dream! If you haven't read DTD, do it. Then read this erotic romance!

This is a NA/YA anthology, meaning the main characters are new adults or young adults, none older than 23 years old. Not my favorite age range for romance stories. However, I liked that it contained stories about a lot of different types of firsts: first kisses, first dates, first time having sex, first fights, first time admitting homosexuality, first boyfriend/girlfriend, and so forth. Some of the short stories were prequels to novels. Some stories have sex scenes, some have none.

The first couple of stories didn’t do it for me. The first story that caught my attention was A Little Too Scarred by Lisa DesRochers, an author I had heard of, but had not previously read any of her book. Rene had served in the military and returned with scars and with the loss of an eye and very limited vision in the other eye. But Rick waited for her and loved her as she was. He was so grateful that she returned alive. A touching, romantic story that change my mind about this anthology, made me want to give it a chance and finish reading it.

And surprisingly for me, a futuristic, sci-fi type Under the Seryn Moon was a sexy, arranged marriage story caught my attention. Two people forced to marry to keep the peace and stop the war between the peoples find real attraction and the blossoming of love.

Another story that drew me in was Going For Broke, where Tressa visits Noel two days before he is supposed to get married. Her desire to have fun, instead of a relationship, broke them apart. She realized that she loves Noel, but never shared her true feelings. Is she too late?

There was male/male attraction between roommates, one where he proposed to her when they were five years old, even a romance between two deaf lovers. Perhaps something for almost everyone. Yet, only about half the stories were ones that I enjoyed. By the way, there are 19 stories in the anthology.

The Inside Out series is intriguing, suspenseful, hot, sexy, romantic and keeps me guessing. I enjoyed the erotic, fun, sexy scene with some naughty bdsm toys in the beginning. However Chris' vulnerability, fears, and desire to hide are revealed when their time together is interrupted by someone from his past.

Chris gets a call about his ex, Amber, who is having a meltdown. Sara refuses to be left out, and he is forced to allow her to see what he feels most guilty about and hopes that their love will survive it. Sara accompanies him and gets to witness firsthand Chris' secrets. The questions I had were: Is Amber acting out or manipulating Chris? Is he helping or enabling her out of guilt?

"But her family's death wasn't your fault any more than your mother's dying in a car accident was, Chris. You were mugged and you tried to save them. And the boy you shot--"

"Was a killer. I know, and I'd pull the trigger again if I had to do it over. But that doesn't keep the images of his body or those of Amber's family, from haunting me, nor does it stop my guilt over leading Amber to the whip." I hesitate. "And thinking about her seeking the whip for relief makes me want the whip. ..."

The epilogue had me thinking, "I need more!" That's a great way to end. The novella was just long enough to whet my appetite and keep my interest in the series strong.

This is not a standalone story. You need to read the three full novels in order to understand what is going on.
