So Josh travels to New Zealand, not to track Gemma down, but for the experience. Well traveled Gemma inspired him to get out in the world. Of course they meet again, or this wouldn't be a romance. Only Josh wasn't planning on being the third wheel when he finds out Gemma is seeing someone else.

Set in Canada and New Zealand, this book is totally amazing. Karina's lush descriptions of the landscape really transport the reader into each and every scene. And if I had the funds and was single, I'd be making a trip there myself. It sounds stunning!

There is a bit of a love triangle element in this one, which I loved! It really ramped up the angst factor and it totally gave me the feels! This is such an amazingly written book. If you've read Love in English or Love in Spanish, you're going to love this because we get little snippets of Vera and Mateo. FYI, Josh is Vera's brother. But no, you don't need to read those two books before this one, Where Sea Meets Sky is totally a standalone. No cliffhanger.

Add in Luke’s foster siblings (all firefighters too), plus the rest of the crew from Engine Company 6 and you have a great blend of humor, love and friendship. For those concerned about reading a firefighter book, there’s no peril or any danger to the firefighters in this book. Just a whole lot of laughs, playful banter and oh yes, sexy firefighters that are sure to set your panties on fire!

The buzz for this book made me especially curious. The blurb made it a must have for me. I mean, come on! How can any romance reader pass up a book titled Manwhore? They can't. I love a good reformed manwhore story as much as the next girl and couldn't wait to dive into this one.

Rachel is working for a floundering magazine when the assignment of her career comes across her desk. An interview. No, scratch that. An expose on Chicago's most elusive billionaire manwhore, Malcolm Saint.

Her goal; get in, get the story, and get out without losing her panties to him. Yeah, easier said than done...

Oh boy. I really, really wanted this to live up to the hype it was getting. Unfortunately, for me, it just didn't give me the wow factor I was expecting. Don't get me wrong, the sex, when it finally happens, is hotter than hot! But the story just didn't grab me like I was hoping it would. There's a lot of internal dialogue that just slowed the book down too much for me. And Saint really didn't come across as that big of a bad boy manwhore. The story is told through Rachel's POV so I don't know that it was enough to give Saint as much depth as he needed. I think his POV at pivotal points would have made this an exceptional book. For me, it just lacked something. And then the dreaded cliffhanger…

If you were to rate books like they rate storms or earthquakes, this would be a Category Five, 9.0 on the Richter scale of ugly cry books. I knew by reading the synopsis it was going to make me emotional but I wasn't quite prepared for the emotional punch-to-the-gut of Before I Go. I pretty much cried the entire way through this book.
 

Daisy Richmond is dying. Cancer. Everywhere. Her husband is on the cusp of finishing a double doctorate program, but he can barely take care of himself. Daisy decides it's a brilliant idea to help him find a new wife for after she's gone. Taking trips to bookstores, dog parks, anywhere she can think of where Jack's next ideal mate may be. Finally she finds someone. The perfect woman to step into her shoes and be Jack's next wife. As she begins to pull away from her husband and push him into another woman's arms she begins to regret her decision. Suddenly they're having whispered phone calls and spending time together. That's what she wanted wasn't it?

Oh my goodness. Really, I don't think I can even put the right words into a review for fear of not doing this book or author justice. It's a beautiful, heart wrenching story. And yes, it's one of the best and saddest books I have ever read, it's also full of humor and witty insights. Daisy is a three dimensional character and if she were real, the kind of girl you'd want to be best friends with. I could easily see this book on the big screen. I know 2015 just started, but this book is going to be, without a doubt, hard to top.

Before I Go belongs in your TBR pile. Written in Daisy's, first person POV, this is a standalone. Obviously I can't say it has a HEA, but it leaves you thinking, reflecting and wanting to grab a hold of your loved ones and tell them how much they mean to you. 6 poignant and gorgeous stars.

That’s when I decided to become a journalist.
