Blurb

Her lips, the way she feels, how she moves against me. Her voice when she laughs, her eyes when she cries. Her soul connected to mine, for better or for worse, for all eternity.

I don't remember.

A blank face. Unrecognizable. The darkness and impenetrable fog, day after day after day. Who am I? And for that matter, who is she?

I can't remember.

Two sides to the same coin – one wants to remember, and the other wants to stay forgotten. Which side will win? Can he trust his heart to bring him back to her? Or will she stay lost in the fog forever?

I might never remember.

Crazy woman from a remote location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.

Synopsis

Love isn't always bright and shiny.

Sometimes, it's dirty and wrong, buried six feet deep in a secret place where only wild things dare to go. Hidden behind a big black curtain that covers things no one should ever see.

Sometimes it happens between two people who should never be allowed to come together. One who is a match, and the other who just happens to be gasoline.

One strike is all it takes to burn the whole world down, and that's exactly what they plan on doing.

Even if it kills them.

warning: this book contains graphic sex, extremely brutal violence, bad language, and people repeatedly and knowingly breaking the law.

Holy shit! This book was a dark, twisted, crazy, fucked-up wild ride! It was unputdownable as the twists and turns kept coming—I had to know what was next!

Dulcie is an art geek, a quiet girl who mainly keeps to herself, but she has a hidden darkness inside.

Constantine “Con” Masters is the quintessential golden boy—star quarterback, rich daddy, gets what he wants when he wants it. However, there is something inside him that he doesn’t understand and is afraid to show.

“She called to him, and she didn’t even know it.”

The two have an undeniable connection and it allows them to be the real person hidden deep inside. But damn, it is crazy how the two connect!

“I don’t want to be responsible for you, Dulcie. I don’t want to be the thing that wrecks you,” he tried to explain. She finally laughed again. “Stupid boy, I was wrecked long before you showed up.”

There have never been two more perfect people for each other than Dulcie and Con.

“You’re fucking crazy,” Con had whispered as he’d hugged her from behind. “I love it.”

I loved this story! I have been a fan of Ms. Fantome’s work since day one, but she really pulled out all the stops on this one. It is definitely a must read if you are a fan of darkness, mind fucks, and page turning books. I really can’t do it the book justice with this review—READ IT!!

Con finally unlocked the doors and she hefted herself into the massive vehicle. They sat in silence for a while, their breath fogging up the glass. Then he opened his mouth.

“Did he touch you?”

Dulcie knew he wasn't asking about the homeless man.

“Not in any way that counts,” she replied, turning to look at him. His hands had moved to grip the steering wheel.

“So he has touched you.”

“Jared was just an experiment, I wanted to see if -”

“You let him fucking touch you.”

You fucking left me!” she was suddenly screaming. He didn't even flinch, just gripped the steering wheel harder. “You fucking left me in this fucking town, without a goddamn goodbye! Without a goddamn word! God, you have no idea what it's been like. That fucking camera, all those drawings. And there's all these people, and talking, and feeling this way, and all the blackness, and I don't even know what's wrong with me, and nothing. You come back, and it's like nothing to you. Oh hey, Dulcie. Where's your sketchbook, Dulcie. Come to a party, Dulcie. Let me just fuck this chick in the woods, Dulcie. So you know what? Yeah, he fucking touched me. I let him fucking touch me. And I hated every minute of it, and I would pretend it was you, and I would hate you, and I would hate myself, and I just let it happen.”

Con lunged across the seat, and absurdly, her first thought was “wow, he's really fast” before his fingers wrapped around her throat. She wasn't fazed, though, and she pushed right back, slapping him across the face. This only caused him to clench both hands around her neck and he yanked her forward, dragging her to him so their faces were only inches apart.

“Stupid little Dulcie,” he whispered, his breath hot against her lips. She held onto his wrists and glared at him, but didn't try to pull away. His fingers got tighter. “So scared of the big bad wolf.”

“I'm not … scared of you,” she managed to gasp out, but then his grip grew so tight he completely cut off her oxygen.

“Of course you aren't scared of me. I'm not the wolf. You are.”

So that's what was hiding behind the curtain. I wish you'd told me sooner, Con. We could've reveled in our darkness together.

It felt like a weight was lifted off her back. She'd been pretending for so long, and she hadn't even realized it. Had conditioned herself to do it. It was easier to believe Con was the darkness, and she was simply drawn to it. Basking in his wake. But it was all a lie – she was every bit as dark as him. They were the same animal. She'd just been better at deceiving herself. And now they'd evolved into something else, into a new, higher being.

Her lungs were throbbing, screaming for oxygen. She could feel her pulse pounding behind her face. Her mouth was open, but she couldn't make a sound. Black spots danced in front of her eyes, yet still they stared at each other. Recognizing each other, maybe for the first time ever.

Maybe for the last time.

What a way to die, looking into the face of this beautiful boy. What a gift.

Misch stared up at him, simply amazed. She couldn't believe he was there, sitting next to her. Bubble, officially burst. Mr. Tal Canaan was a real life man, flesh and blood, not some fantasy to be locked away in some hotel room, shoved to the back of her brain. And the fantasy-come-to-life sitting next to her happened to be dressed up, as well. Sexy didn't cover how he looked that evening.

“Tal, we can't do this,” Misch lowered her voice. “You did me a huge favor the other night, really. I appreciate it, more than I can say. But it ended in that room.”

His hand moved off of her hip and across her lap. Came to rest on her bare thigh. Her voice caught in her throat.

“Oh, no. No, I don't think so. I don't think it ended at all. I think it's still very much going on,” he breathed, sliding his hand up, moving the skirt of her dress out of the way.

“Tal, please,” she whimpered.

Whimpering. The man makes me whimper.

“Ah, there's that word I love.”

“My boss could walk up any minute,” she hissed, pressing herself back into the cushioned booth, trying to gain some distance.

“Don't worry about your boss,” Tal whispered, dipping his head and kissing her temple.

“We can't. He knows I'm married,” she whispered back, squirming as Tal's hand pushed the last bit of material out of the way. If a waiter popped up, he'd have a great view of Misch's hot pink underwear.

“I told you, don't worry.”

“Don't worry!? How can I not -,”

She gasped as his thumb slid under the crotch of her panties. While her lips were parted, he dove in, kissing her hard. She moaned, welcoming him. Fuck, she'd cook him dinner and rub his feet, if he'd just keep touching her. Just keep wanting her.

“I love that you're always so ready for me,” he pulled away to laugh at her. She gripped onto his arm.

“Oh my god, I'm gonna get fired,” she panted, but made no move to stop him. His thumb was ridiculously dexterous; she wondered if he was double jointed. It swam in circles, making her dizzy.

“You won't get fired, I promise,” he had his sly smile on, and he actually rested an elbow on the back of the booth, propping his cheek against his fist. His relaxation actually made her more aware of their surroundings. She was sitting in the middle of a nice restaurant, waiting for her boss, and she had a man's thumb in her crotch.

Slut.

“Someone's going to see us. Please.”

“You know what's funny,” he ignored her. “This really wasn't my plan when I decided to come here. I thought we could have a drink, talk. I could watch you laugh. You have a great laugh. But then I sat down, and you're wearing this amazing dress, showing those amazing legs, and well, here we are.”

“I don't want to be doing this,” she begged.

“Why not?”

“Because,” she couldn't finish the sentence. Didn't want to say it out loud. Wanted to pretend that she was begging him to stop for the right reasons.

“Because why?”

I'm such an awful person.

“Because I'm ..."

“Since our night together," he whispered, "this is all I've thought about. All I've wanted to do. From this point on, you're going to be the only person I fuck while I'm here.”

“Tal, please, I'm going to … I'm about to …,” she couldn't catch her breath. She was too busy trying to stave off a huge orgasm.

“Shhhh,” he shushed her. Then his thumb was gone. He pulled his fingers free of her underwear, ran it up her body. Rested his hand against the side of her jaw. She was breathing heavily through her nose, staring up at him. He stared right back and pressed his dewy thumb against her bottom lip. Traced it back and forth.

Resistance is so fucking futile.

“What are you doing to me?” she whispered. He smiled, then stuck his thumb in his mouth, sucking her wetness away.

“Anything you want, babe. Come find me,” he whispered back.

Then he was sliding out of his seat. Walking away.

Misch dropped her head back on the booth, tried to catch her breath. She pressed a hand to her chest and gulped in air. She had thought the night was going to be boring. Shmoozing their international partners, talking about insurance, trying to tell bad jokes in broken Italian. Getting off in the middle of a crowded dining room hadn't been part of the plan.

Mr. Canaan had never been part of the plan.

Review - Best Laid Plans by Stylo Fantome

Title: Best Laid Plans
Series: The Mercenaries #1
Author: Stylo Fantome
Release Date: September 7, 2015

THE PLAN:

* Smuggle diamonds from Liberia to Morocco
* Make the trip in three days
* Don't get caught
* Don't kill each other
* Don't have sex with each other
* Don't fall for each other
* Stick to the plan

This is the story of what happens when an unlikely bond is formed between enemies, causing tensions to rise, and igniting a chemistry that threatens to burn them both. Together, they'll learn that sometimes even the best laid plans can fail.

If this NOVEL were a MOVIE, it would have an R rating from the MPAA. Contains: Violence, Grisly Images, Strong Language, Nudity, and Graphic Sexual Content.

Sweet Jesus! This BOOK! It was so fucking good! It was action packed with a kick-ass heroine. It had some hot-as-hell sex. It had some touching moments. It had some funny moments. And I could not read it fast enough!

Lily is unlike any heroine I have ever read. She is seeking revenge for her sister and by doing so, has changed who she is. She is a diamond transporter in Africa. She started by laundering money. She is feisty, fiery, and has a temper to match her red hair. She is not afraid to do what is needed to get what she wants.

“She looks like a pin up, fucks like a porn star, and fights like Tyson.”

Enter Marc, a mercenary who stole the diamonds she is to smuggle. A brief flirtation through the month of diamond stealing leads to a hot, explosive night together.

She felt like she had completely lost any kind of control, impaled on an impossibly huge dick, being fucked like she was being punished for something. It was the best feeling ever.

Of course, even the best plans can go awry. Suddenly, Marc and Lily are thrown back together and must work as a team to finish the job. And the two made a hell of a team; fucking and fighting like rock stars. Their chemistry was off the charts!

“God, yes, please, I need to feel this again. Your pussy is magic,” he swore lifting his head to look down between their bodies.

And that car scene – holy hell!!

This book was full of all kinds of unexpected twists and turns. I absolutely loved Lily—there couldn’t have been a better heroine. I also adore Kingsley Law. I can’t wait to get more of him. I seriously could not believe the ending and cannot wait for the next book, Out of Plans! Please don’t make me wait too long!!

Review - My Time in the Affair by Stylo Fantome

Title: My Time in the Affair
Author: Stylo Fantome
Release Date: May 2, 2015

~Mischa~

I made a conscious decision to cheat on my husband.

Now, before you judge me, hear my story. Hear how much I'm like you, how similar my thoughts are to your own. Yes, I'm a horrible person. Yes, I've done horrible things. Yes, I don't deserve forgiveness. Yes, bad things happened because of my actions.

Maybe, just maybe, you're not as innocent as you'd like to think.

WARNING: This book involves CHEATING. The word AFFAIR is in the title. The main character has an AFFAIR. In the synopsis (directly above), she states that she intentionally has an AFFAIR. If you don't like CHEATING, then you have been VERY WELL warned. Also, this book is primarily written in the third-person narrative.

AMAZON US / UK

Wow! Just wow! I went into this book really not expecting to like it as much as I did. I hate cheating. Like, abhor it. So I honestly thought I would struggle with this book, but being a huge fan of Stylo, I had to give it a chance and I am so glad I did. This book was sensational! It was intriguing and addictive and I couldn’t put it down.

Obviously, by the title we knew that Mischa was going to have an affair. We find out that while her husband is her best friend, he’s not the best husband.

“I get along great with my husband, we’re super pals! He’s nice, thoughtful, caring, sweet…but I really, really want to fuck someone else.”

Again, I don’t condone cheating in any way and think that Mischa could have gone about everything a bit differently, but if she did then she might never have met Tal, her true love.

“I was drunk on him. High on him. I wanted to swallow him down, inhale him, inject him. I wanted to live under my skin and change my DNA.”

Who can give that up, no matter how much it is hurting others?

“When I was with him, I forgot to hate myself.”

This book really had it all. It kept me guessing, it made me laugh, and it made me cry. There were some hot-as-hell scenes – that bathroom scene, hot damn! But it was also full of love, trust, hope and strength. Watching Mischa become confident in herself, without a man, was enthralling. This was another phenomenal read from Ms. Fantome, and I can’t wait to read more by her.
