Falling in love is easy. Staying in love is hard. In this heart-pounding follow-up to Tangled by New York Times bestseller Emma Chase, Kate reveals that there is trouble in paradise, when unexpected circumstances force her and Drew to "renegotiate" their relationship.
There are two kinds of people in the world. The ones who look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of a looker. Cautious. A planner. That changed after I met Drew Evans. He was so persistent. So sure of himself—and of me.
But not all love stories end happily ever after. Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the sunset? Join the club. Now I have to make a choice; the most important of my life. Drew already made his—in fact, he tried to decide for the both of us. But you know that’s just not my style. So I came back to Greenville, Ohio, alone. Well, sort of alone...
What I've come to realize is that old habits die hard, and sometimes you have to go back to where you began before you can move ahead.

I freaking LOVED Tangled and Drew Evans. Hands down, there is only one Drew Evans. Well this time around, Ms. Emma Chase did not disappoint her fans and readers finally gets to know Kate Brook’s POV in Twisted. Finally, we get to know the inside scoop from the only person who truly captured the heart of Drew Evans. And I must say Kate matches her own when it comes to Drew. I loved that Ms. Chase allowed readers to see the real Kate. She’s is sassy, fun, lovable, feisty, and gives as good as she gets.
Two years into the relationship and this couple is still Hotter than ever. They live together, work together, play together, and are madly in love with each other. The sexual chemistry between Drew and Kate are sizzling. Their lives seem PERFECT!! Right? Hot sex..check..great teamwork at work...check...communication skill…???? They say the key to a successful relationship is communication. Well leave it to Kate and Drew to turn give us a lesson on why these two needs to go back to school when it comes to communication. Without giving much away, Twisted can be described as MISCOMMUNICATION 101.
Be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotions of miscommunications and assumptions. To quote Henry Winkler, “ Assumptions are the termites of relationships.” In this case, this was true for Kate and Drew. Strap on to your seat and hold on tight as Drew and Kate takes readers on a bumpy emotional rollercoaster ride of He Said..She Said...He Did What..She Did What. Can these two hot headed and stubborn individuals learn to finally how to communicate?
As much as I love Drew Evans, Kate Brooks stole the show in TWISTED!!! I love her feisty, sassy, fun, and independent spirit. You gotta love a woman who can match Drew’s personality. She gives as good as she gets. There were times in the book, I wanted to knock some sense into Drew and scream at him WHY!!!!!!! But the way Kate handle the way Drew disrespected her, I probably would have handled the way she did.
Well as much as I love Drew and Kate, I freaking love the secondary characters from Delores, Mackenzie, Matthew, Stephen, Alexandra, and Billy. Hands down, the females secondary characters are the best. The beloved Mackenzie was freaking adorable and too cute for words. And as for Dee-Dee and Alexandra, they do not disappoint. They are fiercely loyal and you don’t want to mess with them.
Twisted may not be over the top funny like Tangled but I think Ms. Chase did an excellent job in getting in Kate’s mind. I love that we can see how strong Kate’s friendship with DeeDee and Billy are. And of course, I love how we get to see Kate and Drew finally learning how to communicate and compromise. Thank you Ms. Emma Chase for bringing back Drew and Kate. Lastly, I cannot wait for Tamed!!
By day, Emma Chase is a devoted wife and mother of two who resides in a small, rural town in New Jersey. By night she is a keyboard crusader, toiling away the hours to bring her colorful characters and their endless antics to life. She has a long standing love/hate relationship with caffeine.
Emma is an avid reader. Before her children were born she was known to consume whole books in a single day. Writing has also always been a passion and with the 2013 release of her debut romantic comedy, Tangled, the ability to now call herself an author is nothing less than a dream come true.
