This book, I am not even sure how to write
the review up! It’s so different from anything I have ever read before, I am not
even sure what category I would place it in.
Jess (aka Blaire) is running from her past.
She killed her stepfather and is hiding with pirates who have become her
family. When she is kidnapped by the Captains stepson as revenge, will she be
able to hold onto herself and stay strong until she can be rescued?
Dimitri, the step son of the Captain whose
ship Jess lives on, has kidnapped her as an act of revenge. He wants nothing
more than to kill his stepfather and believes Jess is the way to draw him out.
Will he be able to see past his revenge and see the person Jess really is?
These two, wow. I am usually not a fan of a
switching POV, but it really worked in this book. Bella did a FANTASTIC job
with the character development and it shows.
I really loved this book. I will admit, with my
head hung in shame, that I have not read much by Bella Jewel. That changed
today. I loved her writing style and how the story kept flowing. I just wish it
was longer, because I really didn’t want their story to end!
