BLURB

She’s the girl I can never have.

Everlee likes to torment me, to enrapture me with her innocence at every turn. The games we play skirt the lines of what is appropriate, but I’d never allow myself to cross them. Her father would kill me if I did.

He’s my oldest friend, and I’ve watched his daughter blossom into the woman she’s becoming. My tastes are too deviant for her shining light, and I need an outlet even if she’s all I see when I close my eyes.

Enter Purgatory — the club that caters to every manner of taste. Arranging a meeting with a stranger to fill my needs, the last thing I expect when I look in the window of our meeting place is to find Everlee sitting and waiting for me at the table marked with a single red rose. I should walk away, end the agreement that never should have happened in the first place, but I can’t resist her. She chose a game with the devil.

I hope she’s ready to play.

Wrong is part of the Black Heart Romance presents Heaven & Hell series, but can also be read as a standalone. Wrong is a dark, daddy’s best friend romance with nonconsent.

EXCERPT

The door closed as my attacker took a few steps into the silent room, and then my world turned upside down again as he flipped me over his shoulder. The soft press of a mattress came against my back, catching me as he flung me forward.
I thrashed, rolling as I tried to vault for the edge of the bed. I didn’t know shit about my circumstances or surroundings, but I had the distinct feeling a bed was never a good thing while being kidnapped.
Crap on a cracker, I wanted to die a virgin.
His weight came down on my hips, pinning me still as his hands touched the back of my head, sliding beneath my hair. He unknotted the scarf from the back of my head and pulled it away from my eyes.
The light in the room blinded me, the overhead fixture shadowing the face of my kidnapper from view as I blinked to adjust to the sudden glare. His fingers slid to the front of my face, grasping the cloth gag he’d shoved into my mouth and wrenching it free. My lips throbbed with pain, leaving me to run my tongue over them to soothe them.
When my eyes finally adjusted, my mouth dropped open as I blinked a few more times.
I was dreaming.
This was a nightmare, a twisted manifestation of all the years I’d spent wanting a man who some would consider my family.
“Uncle Landon?” I asked, my voice trembling as I spoke the words. Still believing it was a trick of my mind, refusing to accept it as reality.
There was no way he would scare me like this. No way he would risk hurting me.
“Hello, Everlee,” he said, the smooth drawl of his voice curving around my name like a gunshot to my chest. I dug my nails into my own hands, hoping the sharp bite of pain would wake me up.
There was just his hazel glare, anger like I’d never known directed at me.
Oh God.
