Review - Bleeding Love by Harper Sloan

Title: Bleeding Love
Series: Hope Town #2
Author: Harper Sloan
Release Date: July 14, 2015

I've loved once. I gave everything that I had to that love. Blindly believing that nothing could ever take that feeling away from me. Away from us. And when my little world of happiness was ripped from my fingers, I felt a loss that still haunts me to this day.

Now I use that lingering grief as a shield to keep my heart from loving again. It's that fear that keeps me from letting anyone, except my daughter, get close enough to make it hurt. To make my heart bleed when I inevitably lose again.

Until the day I met Liam Beckett and everything I thought I had protected myself from was shoved back in my face.

He's on a mission to prove to me that a love worth having is a love worth fighting for.

*Bleeding Love is the second book in the Hope Town series. It will follow Liam and Megan. Each book in the series is a HEA and can be read as a standalone.*

Bleeding Love by Harper Sloan is a love story between Liam and Megan.

Let me begin by saying this story tugs on the heart strings every step of the way. Liam is the ultimate hot, hunky, alpha male. Megan is a strong, determined, woman who takes care of herself and her daughter, Molly. Liam's set his sights on Megan and she can't figure out why. The fireworks between the two of them are off the charts hot!

If you need a good laughing, crying, every emotion under the sun book, this is it! I found myself wanting to read faster to find out what was going to happen, yet, wanting to STOP so the story didn't end! Reading Liam and Megan's story, I was reminded that family is who you choose and how amazing is that?!

I would like to make it known that Liam Beckett is definitely one of my top book boyfriends now! Liam knew want he wanted and he went after it. He knew Megan needed help getting back to being her happy self. She wasn’t really living and he made it his mission to make her ‘feel alive’ again. I really liked the fact that he wasn’t a player. I feel as though a lot of male characters are being written this way and it was refreshing to read a book about a guy who wasn’t, and who was ready to be in a relationship.

When Megan lost her husband, Jack, she didn’t just lose a husband; she lost her best friend. I can only imagine how hard that would be for someone. Letting Liam into her life was something she fought him on, but she couldn’t resist him for very long.

I felt so many emotions with this book. I laughed, cried, and didn’t want it to end. It was so cute how all the big, alpha Corps Security men would do anything for Molly; they were putty in her hands. Liam was so great with her and he made a great daddy!

Bleeding Love just sucks you in and you don’t want to put it down. Harper’s writing makes you feel so much for Megan and what she’s been through. It also makes you want to give Liam a high five for not giving up on her, for making her see that they could be happy together and for showing her what it’s like to feel alive.

I loved catching up with the Corps Security clan and seeing the whole gang together again. I fell in love with Liam’s character and can’t wait to read about another one of Harper’s alpha males in the next Hope Town book!
