Title: Fly With Me
Series: Wild Aces #1
Author: Chanel Cleeton
Release Date: May 3, 2016
From the author of the Capital Confessions Novels comes the first in the steamy Wild Aces Romance series.
U.S. Air Force fighter pilot Noah Miller—call sign Burn—loves nothing more than flying hard and fast. When he meets a gorgeous and sassy woman while partying in Las Vegas, he immediately locks on to her.
Jordan Callahan owns a thriving clothing boutique, but her love life is far less successful. Her luck changes when six feet, two inches of sexy swagger asks her to dance and turns her world upside down.
One scorching weekend becomes an undeniable chemistry that they can’t leave in Vegas. But the long distance relationship and their different lives threaten to ground their romance. And when the dangers of Noah’s job become all too real, Jordan learns being with a fighter pilot means risking it all for a shot at love…
I’m a little dazed right now.
I have all these feelings floating around and I’m struggling to latch on to the one that will most accurately convey how beautiful I thought this book was. Heartwarming. Heartbreaking. Sexy. Flirty. Breathtaking. Even all strung together like that, I feel like those feelings only begin to paint the picture of the emotional journey this book took me on.
From the moment Jordan met Noah on a Vegas dance floor, their chemistry sparked and crackled and left my panties in a terrible state. That said, things didn’t play out exactly how I expected them to. Jordan wasn’t a typical heroine—and I loved her for that, even though I know some of the things about her would drive me crazy if she were a real person. That’s the thing—those things made her feel real to me. She wasn’t perfect, but she was awesome. She was a strong personality; a woman who knows who she is, who knows she’s not perfect, and loves herself anyway. I want to be best friends with Jordan, though I know we would for sure be the kind of best friends who drive each other nuts.
It’s hard to go wrong with a charismatic, confident fighter pilot. Ms. Cleeton did a fantastic job of painting the picture of Noah for me *wipes drool*. As a fan of men in uniform, I was pre-disposed to love Noah like crazy, and I did. He’s another imperfect character—but he’s solid and steady and, though his world gets rocked pretty fiercely, he doesn’t let it all go to shit. As far as book heroes go, Noah is…well…ace.
The secondary character relationships were also amazing. I loved Jordan’s interactions with Noah’s friends. I loved them, and cannot wait to spend more time with them over the course of this series. The friendships were woven beautifully into the romance, adding so much heart and giving the story a richness that hit me right in my reader sweet-spots.
The whole thing felt so real to me. I could imagine this story playing out in real life. There were adorable moments that made me giggle, moments that broke my heart (shattered it, really), and so many moments that took my breath away. If I have a complaint, it’s that I want more. I want to know what happened...after. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye yet, and am hoping (and looking forward) to getting updates on Jordan and Noah as the series goes on.
Fly With Me was a fantastic start to this new series and I cannot wait to see where it goes from here!

*Sniff* I’m not even sure I can handle all these feels right now… On one hand, I am wiping away the tears that streamed—streamed—down my face, and on the other, I’m smiling and swooning and clenching my thighs like I’ve a thigh-master jammed between. (You’re welcome for that visual, BTW).
Oh, what a roller-coaster this book was! Noah and Jordan were damn near perfect together. From their Vegas meet-cute to their long-distance romance—and the pain and grief that they experienced together—they stood side by side as equals, fighting for and working on their relationship, and it was magic.
A lot of that had to do with Noah. Imperfect though he was, inconvenient his career may be, Noah was a cocky gentleman, a dirty-talker, and a man among boys. His comradery with his friends, his willingness to accept emotion and his determination to get it right made me want to embrace him. A lot.
I confess, I wanted to embrace Jordan, also. Although she did, at times, frustrate me a little—for no other reason that she felt a little shallow—she was ideal with Noah, and then… Well, let’s just say she MORE than proved herself. As a lover. As a friend. As a human. She showed growth; a strength and spine that amazed and pleased me, graduating from a glittering jewel to a person of depth and substance. That Chanel Cleeton didn’t have her act in a cliché, contrived manner was a gift—and made the resulting emotion that ravaged me worth each and every tissue I used to get through the pages.
And believe me—getting through some of these pages was rough. The words, the experiences, the grief felt so very raw and painfully real. It hurt—and although I was able to predict what was coming, my ache was no less for it. The friendships that permeate this book are solid and authentic, and beautifully complemented the love that burned (ha, call sign pun!) so brightly between Noah and Jordan.
As the first book in a new series, I hope we’ve not seen the last of this couple. I am intrigued and excited for what’s to come—desperate in some cases for a salve to ease some still-open wounds—but I don’t feel like I am ready yet to leave these two in my rearview mirror. Their ending, although romantic and rewarding and altogether satisfying, felt cut-off. Or maybe it’s just that my emotions are still all over the place, and I’d rather know what comes next for a couple that faced down their obstacles and won, than say goodbye. *Sniff* Damn these pesky feels.
