 Release Date: June 30, 2014

SYNOPSIS

When Mia Corelli returns to Alabama for a summer of fun with her childhood best friend, Tessa, there's only one thing keeping her on edge. One person that she’d do anything to avoid.

Benjamin Kelly. World’s biggest dickhead.

Mia hates him with a fury and has no desire to ever see him again. When she decides to start her summer off with a bang and finally give away her v-card, she unknowingly hands it over to the one guy that excelled at making her life miserable, learning a valuable lesson in the process.

Always get the name of the guy you’re going home with.

Ben can’t get the girl he spent one night with out of his head. When she leaves him the next morning, he thinks he’ll never see her again. Until he sees her lounging by the pool with his sister.

Mia is determined to hate Ben, even though she can’t forget him.

Ben is determined to prove he’s not the same guy he used to be.

What happens when the one person you wish never existed becomes the one person you can’t imagine being without?

REVIEW

You know, I've never wanted to be pulled over and frisked until I read this book and met Officer Benjamin Kelly. Now I can't help but think a road trip to Alabama might be in order...on the off-chance that Ben (or even Luke) might be on duty. Men in uniforms. Yummy. Am I right??

Mia Corelli has grown-up a lot since she was last in Alabama. She's shed some weight, lost her glasses and is virtually unrecognizable. That would explain how she ended up going home with the one man she hoped to avoid during her summer vacation - her bestie's big bro, Ben. Ben Kelly can't keep his mind off the gorgeous woman that rocked his world and then left without giving him her name. He's happily floored when he finds her again by the pool at his parent's house. But Mia wants nothing to do with Ben, not after the torment he put her through when they were kids. Ben is desperate to change her mind. Mia is determined to hate him forever. Who will win?

First of all, let me say that I was incredibly lucky to get to beta-read this book, because J. Daniels is a friend of mine. I loved it in it's early stages and I adore it now. Where I Belong is a funny, sexy and very sweet summer read, that hits all the right notes. Mia and Ben had excellent chemistry and I was rooting for them from a get-go. Ben is an awesome mix of kind, gentle and alpha. There's none of that asshole alpha personality that we see so often, and that's the way I like my heroes. The secondary characters - particularly the delightfully dirty-minded Tessa - gave the story extra punch and laughs. There's a couple of extra things that I'd love to tell you about but are better left unsaid - I'd hate to spoil it. I clicked through page after page, desperate to keep reading - even though I had read it before. Now I'm done and I'm a little disappointed. I have to wait for the next book? How unfair is that? Until then, I guess I'll just plan my visit to 'Bama. And think of ways to get frisked by a hot man in uniform.

Where I Belong is the first book in the Alabama Summer Series and can be read as a standalone, no cliffhanger.
