Am I surprised by this book? No. Well, yes. And everything in between. Every page turn could bring you something new and unexpected. It is hot, engaging, surprising, and mesmerizing just like all the stories in this series.
Do I want more? Hell yes!!!! I hope there’s more… lot’s more.

These characters… Charlie and Simon—and the friends that surround them—are smart, smart-mouthed, funny and devastatingly appealing. Simon says Charlie is sexy and incredibly beautiful. Charlie feels the same way about him. Fall in love, rub bits and live happily ever after, right? Ha! Thank goodness it’s all that and much, much more…
Sinfully hot sex, genuine caring, selflessness and a need to protect each other at all costs roils around secrets and trust issues. The story has ups and downs, touching moments and laugh out loud fun in a courtship that is anything but conventional.

I’m not sure if I love Charlie or Simon or more… Though Con is in the running as well. Okay, I’ll just have to keep them all! I’m so happy that there are more books in this series that I can lose myself in… And I’m going to do just that…

Twisted, twisty, twisted. The connections between the characters and the deceptively simple plot suck you into a sultry, sexy romance that ends up being so much more. Hold onto your hearts, folks, this is going to get bumpy…
If you’ve read the first book in the series then Con is no stranger to you. Military strong, he is an incredible friend and devastatingly handsome to boot. Throw in a bit of man-whore and some tattoo-rough edges and he nails the bad boy persona perfectly.
Vanessa is beautiful but seems to be his polar opposite in almost every way. They connected in the past but memories differ and when they meet again things are anything but smooth.
“When she looked up and smiled, I felt something weird in my chest. What exactly, I wasn’t sure. But that shit wasn’t normal.”
I love the simply complex characters this author creates. You can’t help but laugh and cry with them as they tackle some of life’s harsher lessons head on. Are they lovers or even friends? The question is not easily answered as the back and forth between them is highlighted with misunderstandings and painful revelations. As they figure things out, you are brought along on their emotional, sizzling journey. I know I enjoyed every fun, sexy minute! I can’t wait to find out what else is hiding Beneath….

I’ve been binge-reading this series for a few days and each story surprises and delights me.
This time out it is Elle and Lord’s story and all I can say is be prepared to fall in love… If you’ve read the series then you are not a stranger to these characters. I already loved Elle’s forwardness and feistiness and seeing it butt up against Lord’s alpha maleness again and again, well, pure bliss!
“I’d never had a woman challenge me in bed… challenge and taunt until all my alpha instincts were poised to break free and charge…”
Elle comes from money and that is not the only difference between these two very different people. Outgoing and confident, Elle hides her fears and tears well. Lord, beneath his tough guy exterior, can’t help but be attracted to this beautiful bombshell that pushes all his buttons… Again and again and again….
How they connect and find the binds that tie them, that spark of love, is pure heat and sassiness.
“I’m not really sure what kind of demons she’s running from, but she seems to cover it up well by employing her own special brand of shock and awe.”
Plus ten on heat and the surprise-o-meter, this story is firmly entrenched on my ‘pick me up when I need a lift’ shelf.

Complicated and simple at the same time…
Just because the cover has a hot, ripped, gorgeous man on the cover doesn’t mean the story is going to hot and sexy. In this case, though, it definitely does! The whole series is a string of tattooed bad—but incredibly good—boys and the independent, strong women who challenge every pre-conceived notion they have of how a woman could be…
“Lord, but I’d never disliked someone quite so quickly in my life.”
I admit to coming into Yve and Lucas’ story with some ideas about who they were as well. Yve was struggling. She was afraid. But she was also not willing to give up. She was putting one foot forward at a time as she lived in fear but lived her life. Lucas, on the other hand, well, I thought he was a bit of a douche, really. On the surface, there were few redeeming qualities but, as I’ve learned in this series, don’t take everything at face value.
Lucas is attracted to Yve, and was first in line to make sure she was safe. What lengths would he go to, to ensure the protection of the ones he loved? What line would he cross? And how far would Yve let him? Oh yes, Lucas was complicated but he could also be tender and sweet. Oh my gawd, did I actually say Lucas was sweet? Oh, how my opinion has changed…
Full of tension, both sexual and otherwise, this was a page-turner from start to finish. This series has become an obsession… Let there be more books!!
