Review - Love the Way You Lie by Skye Warren

Title: Love the Way You Lie
Series: Stripped #1
Author: Skye Warren
Release Date: March 12, 2015

A dark romance about the lies that lead us down...

I'll do anything to get safe, even if that means working at the scariest club in town.

I'll do anything to stay hidden, even if it means taking off my clothes for strangers.

I'll do anything to be free. Except give him up. When he looks at me, I forget why I can't have him. He's beautiful and scarred. His body fits mine, filling the places where I'm hollow, rough where I am soft.

He's the one man who wants to help, but he has his own agenda. He has questions I can't answer. What are you afraid of?

You.

There are books that you read, that you expect to be good, but when you start reading, good doesn’t encompass what you think. This is one of those books.

Honey (Honor) is a stripper. She ran away from home and is working to support herself and her sister. When a man comes into the club, she has a feeling her whole world will change. And boy, is she right…

Kip, sees Honey at the club, and from then on, neither of them will be the same. The heat between the two is explosive, and will make you need a little release.

From the blurb, I was intrigued, and knew I had to read it. But when I got the story in my hands, it was more than I expected. This story will suck you in and make you forget house work until you are done. I cannot wait for book two!

Ms. Warren, you have done it again! Left me speechless with such an intense, dark and raw story!

Honey dances, strips and anything else that is needed to be done to keep her sister safe. During one of her many performances she ends up catching the attention of a mysterious man, yet Honey knows she can't get sidetracked. But that stranger refuses to be ignored...

Kip sees the "one" that he's been looking for and knows that he has to get her to trust him. He continues to go see her perform, and finally gets the opportunity to have her to himself. Honey wants nothing to do with him unless it is part of her job however, and yet something about Kip has her wanting to take a chance on him.

The chemistry between Kip and Honey is dripping hot!! There is so much that goes on between them that it kept me on my feet! As I continued reading I was shocked to see how they were connected, why he needed to keep her safe, how he would be doing it. I thought I knew how it might turn out and yet, I was way off! Get ready for a roller coaster of a ride!
