Review - Steele: Into Your Heart by Rie Warren

Title: Steele: Into Your Heart
Series: Carolina Bad Boys #3
Author: Rie Warren
Release Date: April 2, 2015

Brodie Steele is a badass MC dude. Ashe Kingston is a sexy police officer with an attitude. Their bad blood runs deep. But after they hook up at a wild biker week, can they keep their pact? What happens at Bike Week stays at Bike Week. Yeah, right.

Riding out the rough years following a family tragedy, Brodie is still trying to put his life back together when he finds something he never expected with Ashe. She annoys the ever lovin' hell out of him, and turns him on so much he can't see straight. He keeps coming back for more.

Ashe isn't just a hard-nosed police officer. And she wants no part of Brodie outside of their no-strings-attached fling. There's no way he's settling-down material but he's hard to resist with his inked sleeves and rebellious ways, not to mention piercings in places that make Ashe melt. Brodie Steele is dangerous, delicious, and suddenly determined to have her.

If there's anything more risky than laying his heart on the line for this sexy woman, it's Ashe's job. It puts her life in danger in a way he can't possibly protect her from. Can their hot bond win out over the bad blood of years past? Or will Ashe be taken from Brodie before she lets him into her heart?

I FLOVE Rie Warren. She's the queen of badboy-with-a-good-heart-massive-schlong-and-wicked-sense-of-humor books, and Steele: Into Your Heart just gave me even more reason to want to hump her leg, should we ever meet. And while that may not be cool to admit out loud, I am not ashamed of it. Nuh uh, she's earned that humpin'.

After years of recovery from a shattering family tragedy, Brodie Steele is back -- in the game, on the bike and ready to enjoy the f--k out of Bike Week. But when the woman that makes his jeans turn uncomfortably tight turns out to be none other than Officer Ashe Kingston -- a woman he's had the other kind of hard-on for -- he's in a bind.

It's only supposed to be for a week. A Bike Week fling, forgotten when they get home. But Ashe turns out to be unforgettable and moving on isn't so easy. Not when her dangerous job keeps him on edge, her hot mouth makes him weak and her strength and sass have him thinking the unthinkable....a future.

Ashe wants no part in his plans for something more. She has a life, a career and her own responsibilities. But Brodie Steele is determined to find a way into her life, into her bed and into her heart...

OH. MY. F--KING. GOD. This book right here? This book was AMAZING. Funny? Check! Emotional? *sob* Check! Heart-racing? Check! Sexy-as-all-hell? Hell f--king yes, CHECK!!! I loved it. Love, love, love, love, LOVED it and I don't care who knows that my love affair with Rie's leg will continue long after this book and this series is done and dusted.

I was halfway in love with Brodie Steele before I even cracked open this book, and each page just made me want him even more. He was all kinds of awesome; from his love for his family, his club and his business, to his epic piercings and tattoos, Brodie was the kind of man you want to dirty you up and then take home to meet the folks.

And Ashe. Yeah, okay, on occasion I wanted to knock some sense into her (it's f--king BRODIE, Ashe!) but she was so strong, so clever, so sassy and sexy and fun, I'd have sooner hugged her than hit her. She owned Brodie, and damn, she kinda owned me too.

Steele: Into Your Heart came with a healthy side dose of emotional upheaval, as well as some excellent, funny and sweet cameos from the other Carolina Bad Boys, Josh Stone and Nicky Love, and their lovely ladies. And, of course, some interesting new developments on Boomer, whose book is next in this series and will, I have no doubt, earn Rie's leg some more action. Oh, and did I mention that some of the Retribution MC boys make their debuts here? No? Just another reason to love this book and this author.

God, could the title of this book be more appropriate? Rie Warren has totally stolen into my heart—I LOVE her and her brilliant, funny, sexy books and the hot, dirty-talking main characters. Brodie Steele is no exception. We met Brodie in Love: In the Fast Lane. Brodie is one of Cat’s big, gorgeous, protective older brothers.

Brodie Steele is on his way to meet friends at Bike Week. What happens in Bike Week is supposed to stay in Bike Week. That is, until the beauty with the body to die for, swaying on the dance floor, catches Brodie’s attention and doesn’t give it back to him. Brodie is screwed once he realizes his “wet dream” is none other than the woman he supposedly hates—Officer Ashe Kingston.

Ashe Kingston. Strong. Strong willed. Strong willed and independent. Strong willed, independent and stubborn. She’s not buying what Brodie’s trying to sell her. She’s not looking for more. She’s looking for right now. And right now, she’s wanting Brodie, naked, hard and ready to rock her world.

Damn, I love these two. Their interactions are funny, sexy, smart, snarky, dirty, and so smoking hot I needed a moment or two with my husband after reading. Several times I wanted to pull them both aside to have a side bar conversation while reading. Brodie for his intensity and knowing that what he WANTED to happen didn’t matter unless Ashe was all in with him. And Ashe because, I mean hello, it’s Brodie—how are you going to resist that man and his lure for the long term? Still, I loved them and their story and how Rie wove in the rest of the crazy cast of characters from this series. I want more—Rie get writing!

Badass, sassafras Rie Warren is the author of Sugar Daddy and the Don’t Tell series—a breakthrough trilogy that crosses traditional publishing boundaries beginning with In His Command.

She lives in gorgeous Charleston, South Carolina with her small family where she basks in the sunshine during the day, and adjourns to her woman cave at night. A nocturnal creature, she stays up way too late talking to herself, her characters, and anyone who will listen. She’s all about writing with heat, heart, and a hint of the dark, and she doesn’t shy away from the impossible.

Rie’s work has been called “edgy”, “daring”, and “some of the sexiest smut around”.
